Lord Jinxy’s ‘Den Guldpige’ delivers at long odds, but can ‘Oregano’ continue the good run!

I missed last night’s show as I was out with friends and just got to check the results now. I’m delighted to see my tip Den Guldpige (DK) managed to claim a fantastic victory at 17/2. Sweet odds indeed confirming Lord Jinxy’s position as one of the most consistent and proactive owners in recent times. Congratulations on the 50 wins this season mate, delighted for you. Another owner who has proved his quality time and time again is TYO. Tonight his 2 year old colt ‘Oregano’ runs in just his second race at attractive odds of 10/1.

In one run he picked up one win, that in Australia over yielding going. He displayed a strong finishing kick and must be considered for an each way punt this evening. Best of luck to all owners and punters this evening.

Wonderful odds offered for Miss Promo in the 8:48 race but can she do it!?
November 30th, 2005
This old girl has had some of her best runs on soft going. The ‘Clan’ trained horse has won three of her last five races and has refound youth despite being 7 years old now. Both win and place ratios are good for ‘Miss Promo’, out of 91 competitive runs she has won 19 times (21%) and placed on 32 trips (35%). The odds being offered are 20/1 which makes me wonder if fitness levels are low. They shouldn’t be as she has only been out twice over the last two weeks. Racing in a very strong field but I fancy this veteran to pick up something, an each way punt advisable.

Cathjonski horse desperately looking for first win!
November 30th, 2005
‘Choritszo’ is in the middle of a strong run of placed finishes but can’t buy a win these days. In 21 runs the 2 year old fillie has picked up 8 places but no wins to date. Odds of 62/1 are offered by the bookies this evening, but Choritszo can seriously challenge for a place in the 8:34 race from Hong Kong. Last time out on soft he was unlucky not to claim that elusive win finishing behind ‘Cry Freedom’ be a third of a length on the 22nd of November. Hasn’t raced for five days so fitness levels should be decent, fancy this one to pick up place number nine.

New owners still looking for that elusive win!

We always hear about the Dallas 1's, Ken Allen's, Bluess7's (don't go!) and Diablo Racings of this world, but what about the owners who are still trying to register their first win. I've taken a quick look at a few who I'm sure will enter the winner's enclosure very soon indeed:

The Lisa Dakin Stable: Runs: 11 Wins: 0 Places:2
Became a member on the 31st of October this year and their horse 'Ellie' who was bought in the sales ring is already showing strong potential. The 3 year old fillie has been placed twice out of four runs and is set to be a star of the stable. Other horses in the stable are 'Backwell' and 'Maganda'.

The Hobotalk Stable: Runs:2 Wins: 0 Places: 0
No sympathy here as Hobotalk joined just last Friday. Just the one horse in the stable at the moment and she hasn't featured in her two races to date though we can see that 'The Whitelock' is more of a sprinter than a stayer.

The Superdad Stable: Runs: 9 Wins: 0 Places: 0
All hopes in this stable rest on 'Old Barney' who's been finding it difficult to deliver thus far. The stable joined on the 11th of November so are still finding their feet.

The KFC Stable: Runs: 7 Wins: 0 Places: 2
Not a bad old start for this stable. Both horses in the stable have been placed already showing the owner has an eye for what he wants in a horse. Crossford Flyer seems to favour the firm going while Bellfield is a lover of the soft.

The Arlec Stable: Runs: 14 Wins: 0 Places:3
Notching up the places since joing Getminted on the 16th of this month but still waiting for that first win.Maybe Makybe is the star of the stable with 3 placed finishes out of 6 runs so far. My advice keep her on the soft, yielding and muddy and that win will come sooner rather than later!

The Two Pants Stable: Runs: 5 Wins: 0 Places: 0
Radial Artery is the sole inhabitant od the 'Two Pants'stable and to date the 2 year old colt has struggled to get any run of form going. Sadly it looks like a bit of a donkey and a trip to the claimers would certainly deliver a finer horse for the stable.

The SALNCLAIRE Stable: Runs:18 Wins:0 Places:1
The lovely Birmingham sisters bought their first stable on the 29th of September this year after stumbling across the Getminted show on Sky Channel 235. Witty and always a step ahead of us presenters success on the track has been limited but I know things will improve. Things started looking up yesterday when 'Angel Caitlyn' picked up the first place for the stable.Others to watch out for are 'ChewyLouieMcFlea,Kat Kreptin and of course the wonderful Queenie McBeanie'.

TO ALL OUR NEW OWNERS, KEEP AT IT AND YOU COULD BE THE NEXT DALLAS 1 OF GETMINTED. BEST OF LUCK GUYS, AND IF YOU NEED MORE MONEY FOR YOUR STABLES THEN ENTER THE TRICAST CHALLENGE ON GETMINTED'S LIVE SHOW 0N SKY CHANNEL 235. TONIGHT £400 TO BE WON!

Other horses prepare for a Chinese burn!

It’s odd when you look at the stats for China, on the face of it it’s form looks average but when you dig a little deeper you see how unlucky the 2 year old colt has been not to have picked up another 3 placed finishes at least. In 12 runs since the end of September he has won twice and been placed 3 times. Had a good run out last time in England when he finished third out of a full field of 14 on yielding going. The Carp trained colt has never run out on muddy before so it will be a voyage of discovery for the owner.

Odds stand at a tasty 15/2 and in this field he can do enough to pass that finishing post first. The distance won’t be a problem either but crucially the same cannot be said for some of the other horses in the line up. An each way flutter is advisable but China is more likely to pick up a place than win in the 9:48 encounter.

Massive odds for ‘Serpent Warrior’ who can handle the pressure when running at his best!

November 29th, 2005
Yes this is a strong field with many excellent contenders but odds of 56/1 for Gayle’s ‘Serpent Warrior’ doesn’t make a hell of a lot of sense to me. This 3 year old colt out of the Mcewan stable won his last race in awesome style on firm going in England and the celebrations went well into the night we believe! However that race was yesterday so hopefully both the horse and owner have recovered! Serpent Warrior has won on 6 out of his 38 runs, with two of those coming on muddy going. He was bought from Boyle1972 after beginning his virtual career in the pink silks of Dallas1. The task ahead of him tonight in the 8:57 race is big but I believe a placed finish is well within his capabilities. By the way hard luck to ‘Gorgeous Graham’, also from the Mcewan stable who finished outside the places yesterday! For the name alone he should have been given something!

Keep an eye out for the Great Dane in the first televised race of the evening at 8:12
November 29th, 2005
If you were wondering as I was why Lord Jinxy calls so many of his horses by Danish names you’ll be glad to hear it’s because he lived there for a number of years. I don’t know what Den Guldpige translates into in English but do know it’s a mighty fine fillie. In 12 races she’s delivered for the stable almost on every occasion. Two wins and seven placed finishes show this is a racehorse to be feared though the bookies are offering a price of 17/2 for her in the 8:12 race tonight. Has fared well on trips out on muddy so far with 3 places out of 3 runs. Last time out she finished second on muddy, narrowly beaten by Cautivadora on the line in Dubai. Adores the 2 mile distance and would make a tidy each way punt this evening.

Joy Division to pick up win number 1185 for Dallas 1?

Strange. This 2 year old fillie has only raced once before and it was in a claimer. Perhaps Dallas didn’t see as much potential as he would have liked but the new girl ran well in that race finishing 2nd out of a field of 9. Same sprint distance for this race in England tonight. The bookies have gone for odds of 6/1 for Joy Division which could come back to sting them in the rear!

In truth there isn’t alot of experience or quality lining up for the 9:24 race and odds in general are attractive. Dallas1 horses usually finish at a pace similar to an aircraft right before takeoff so expect the same from Joy Divison tonight.

Regal additions to add another place to current hoard
November 28th, 2005
Normally I would jump at Regal Additions at these long odds of 15/1 but I hesitated when I spotted it was firm going. The scn trained 3 year old fillie can either run a blinder on firm or else flop so lets hope for the former rather than the latter. Is a placed finish specialist but finds it very difficult to register a win as registered in the odds. Current stats show 28 runs , 3 wins and 14 placed finishes. Current form is very consistent, being placed in her last five races. Indeed was unlucky not to register win number 4 back on the 7th of November on muddy in Dubai. At these odds a placed finish would reap a healthy reward but an each way punt might not be a bad idea either!

Though busy recently, its hard not to back ‘One one one’ at decent odds!
November 28th, 2005
This tip depends totally on One one one’s fitness levels. He’s raced in five of the last eight days and I’m just hoping theres something left in the virtual tank. A trusted colt out of the Diablo racing stable if the ground was made of hot coals he’d still be fancied to run well. The wins ratio is decent but could be better, 10 out of 52 runs. Along the way picked up 23 places as well and at 17/2 this is probably the best result Diablo can hope for tonight in the 8:24 race from England.

BRYAN 1969 on the verge of win number 50!

I'm sure our good friend Bryan must have the 50 wins firmly in his sights by now. Up to 45 at present he is cementing his place as both an owner of merit and a gentleman of the game. The 45th win came in the form of 'Breakfast Butty' who won the 11.37 race from Hong Kong last Friday. Another horse from a fine stable to keep an eye on.

The top horse in the stable though is 'Royal Express' who has had a poor run in the last few races but has the quality to return to winning ways in the near future. He has notched up 7 wins since joining the stable in September in this year. Brian is a regular contributor to the show and has even named one of his horses '3hrsliveshow plse'! Indeed it won well last Thursday night! Bryan was nice enough to say he enjoys the blogspot and so I think its fair I wrote a short tribute in response. Good luck on reaching the 50 Bryan , I'm sure it'll happen within the next few days.

Thank you to Ken Allen for his ideas on how overseas owners can get involved in the Getminted Live show.

Many thanks to Ken for your views on Getminted. I have to say I agree with all of your points. If owners could send in tips and other facts to a dedicated e-mail address then it would also aid this blogspot as I could simply have an owners corner where certain articles are published. Hopefully this will get up and running as soon as possible. Well done on last night's racing Ken, another night, another win!

There must be something up with Gauquelin, odds of 30/1 or maybe the bookies have made an error!

Isn’t it lovely proving the bookies wrong. Last night my tip ‘Dalakhani’ did just that, placing at 34/1! Tonight Dallas 1’s Gauquelin has been given odds of 30/1 which is suprising. Not alone has the 2 year old colt been a revelation this season but he hasn’t raced since last wednesday so I would assume fitness levels should be approaching 90%, whether thats good enough for a win is another matter, probably not.

In 24 runs he has won 9 times and been placed in 10. A fantastic purchase from the sales ring ‘Gauquelin’ prefers the muddy and soft going but 2 of the 9 wins have come on fast. Don’t miss the 8:57 race its the last of the tri cast challenge (£300 tonight) and may be the one where Gauquelin runs far better than the long odds suggest.

Jug ears to wax lyrical after good run in Dubai!
November 27th, 2005
Its been a busy three months for Jug Ears. He left the Judge Jeffries stables in September bound for Hala Madrid. However much like Michael Owen at Real Madrid he could never win the true affections of the manager and so made his way to the Tightline stable three weeks ago. Rumours suggest he could be on his way yet again as he was entered in a claiming race as recently as last Friday. I believe theres still something left in this 3 year old though and that one good run could revitalise him and bolster the virtual confidence! Isn’t a huge lover of fast but on recent form isn’t a huge fan of racing in general! I remember tipping ‘Jug Ears’ on a couple of occassions in the past and he didn’t let me down so at 13/1 Im backing him each way in the 8:48 race from Dubai.

Can the grey man return to winning ways at long odds?
November 27th, 2005
This 2 year old colt started off his career in blistering fashion. Amazingly won his first three races, each of them over different goings and on different courses. However since the 5th of November things have gone down hill rapidly as others get wise to the challenge of the goatie 2000 horse. Stronger fields have made it difficult for ‘the grey man’ to find win number 4 but you feel its only a matter of time before the 48/1 shot is victorious again. Running in the 8:36 he has only one race behind him on fast. That resulted in a win so the signs are positive for a placed finish tonight.

Phone Lines, Lucky text tips and forum postings!

Hi guys. Thank you for voicing your concerns about various Getminted issues over the last few days. As regards the phone line being suspended for the time being, I think Dave and Gareth were very clear as to why this is needed.

When we are presenting we hear the producers in our headsets, telling us whats coming up next, when an adbreak is due, telling us to read certain forum postings etc. However if they are on the phone they can't do this and so the show suffers.

Personally I think the e-mail option is the perfect solution and I know it's something which is being considered. We can still ring and speak to winning entrants for the competitions though.

Also I feel bad that Tanky felt it necessary not to accept his £25 in credits from Chris who won the 'unluky' text tip on Thursday night. Of course this was his choice but I think it was a pity. Chris won fairly but due to an owner moaning the credits will now end up elsewhere. Shame.

However democracy rules and feel free to let us know how you feel the show should be improved etc. by posting messages on the forums.

Best of Luck to all the owners AND PUNTERS tonight!

It may be freezing outside but Polar Falcon will be red hot in the 8:36 South African Summer Handicap in England!

I know, I know- ‘South African Summer Handicap!- whats all that about!! Think someone somewhere is rubbing it in as we do everything possible to stay warm! Anyway punters will be excited at the odds of 42/1 for the Ken Allen’s trained ‘Polar Falcon’ in that 8:36 race. I think the bookies have taken too much notice of his 8th place finish last Monday. It was a rare blip from an otherwise fantastic horse.

In 15 races this 3 year old colt has won 7 times and been placed on 6 and I’d be very suprised if he wasn’t there or there abouts come the finishing line in England tonight. The only fear is that fitness levels may be low since he raced twice over the last 5 days. But even at that ‘Polar Falcon’ is surely worth an each way flutter!

Bookies take a risk by offering odds of 34/1 for Dalakhani
November 26th, 2005
Soft going suits this 4 year old colt and I’m flabbergasted by the long odds on offer for Dalakhani in the 8:24 race. He has a healthy range of stats behind him, 45 runs, 8 wins and 21 placed finishes. The most recent of those wins came on the 10th of November on fast going in Canada. A result of note was the one back on the 19th of October though when he fought off 4 other horses to claim victory on this very track. Certainly he’ll have tougher competition tonight but at 34/1 he must be fancied for a placed finish.

Seen as Cornwall is snowed in it’s apt that ‘Terminal Frost’ should be my tip in the first race of the night!
November 26th, 2005
There’s no truth in the rumour that tonight’s jockey on ‘Terminal Frost’ is a virtual Snowman! While wins have been at a premium for the Lister trained colt he does well over soft going which is what we’ll have in England tonight. One of the great things about virtual racing is that the racemeet won’t be called off due to a frozen course! Last time out the 11/2 shot in the 8:12 race finished second to ‘Fruits de Rouge’ in Australia also on soft going. That was back on the 16th of this month so he should be well rested and at peak fitness. I fancy this one for a placed finish though an each way punt wouldn’t be a bad idea either!

Another great night on Getminted as RR Turnover and Willy Plonker get placed at huge odds!

The good luck keeps on rolling for me! Last night at the long long odds of 34/1 the Bernard trained horse 'Willy Plonker' got a third place finish in the 8:36 race, I nearly fell off my seat in the studio when I saw the 3 year old colt storming for the line but must say I'm happy with the finishing position. Later on RR Turnover completed a sweet double finishing in the places at 17/2. Despite it being only his second race he looked composed and solid and will be one to watch in the future. Best of Luck to all owners tonight and please ...keep conspiracy theories to yourself, they contain no weight and are unhelpful!

He may not be trained by Arsene Wenger but Lucky Gooner could do well in the 9:24!

Well this is the first time that Lucky Gooner will have tried his luck over muddy going. So far the 3 year old colt has registered 2 wins and 5 placed finishes including a win on soft going as recently as the 14th of this month.

Has found the track in the USA difficult in the past but at 20/1 I fancy him for a placed finish at least.By the way the name 'Lucky Gooner' would have been apt two seasons ago but now should he be 'Lucky Chelski'?!

Mikhail to rule with an iron fist in America!

We've all heard of communists under the bed, well this virtual horse is coming in under the radar and the bookies have placed him at odds of 9/1. Erratic, he can either decimate a good field or similarly finish well done in a field of lower quality.

Mikhail won on muddy back on the 7th of November in Dubai but he wasn't really challenged , it will be a very different story tonight with the likes of Sugar Loaf and Think big in the race. Good odds though can't be ignored and an each way punt might be a wise option for the 9:55 race.

Well done to Jaybone stable for hitting the magical 50 wins mark!

Another member of the 50 wins club is Jaybone who's pedigree as a top owner continues to grow. Joined us on the 19th of April this year with the top horse in the stable being 'Fiesta'. The next target for Jay is 50 wins in a season but with tricast prize money coming his way we're sure he'll be up to 100 winners in no time. Well done Jay from all at Getminted.

After double success last night I fancy RR Turnover to keep the good times rolling!

Boy was I happy with last night’s racing. A lean week meant I needed a good run from my tips and Spinnaker and Flash Kancha delivered. The Diablo trained Spinnaker at odds of 11/2 won the 8:24 while Ken Allen’s Flash Kancha fought off fatigue to finish second as predicted in the 9:24 Getminted Monthly League Qualifier at 8/1. Tonight I have a sneaky feeling that the inexperienced RR Turnover may indeed turnover the rest of the field to secure a win in the 9:55 race.

New to Getminted Racing he has raced only once to date finishing in a credible fourth position out of a full field of fourteen on good going in England. That was way back on the 6th of November so RR Turnover will be fighting fit for tonight’s showdown in Dubai. Odds stand at 17/2 and this boy is worth an each way flutter.

Willy Plonker and the win a lot factory!
November 24th, 2005
It’s not clear why the bookies have placed ‘Willy Plonker’ at the very long odds of 34/1 for the 8:36 race. On 8 trips so far the 3 year old colt has been victorious twice and placed 5 times. Granted some of those places were in small fields of 5 and 6 but this Bernard trained horse has still impressed. Only ran on fast twice before and finished second in both of those though well behind the winners it must be said. Perhaps fitness levels are down but they shouldn’t be since he has only raced once since the 14th of this month. I’m backing ‘Willy Plonker’ for a place but concede a win is unlikely.

Shades of Naples to place at healthy odds!
November 24th, 2005
The second televised race of the night is certainly one to savour. Some excellent horses line up against each other in an attempt to win the 8:24 from the USA. Amongst them is ‘Shades of Naples’ from the Efisio stable. A 2 year old colt he has impressed in his 7 races to date, winning 2 of them and being placed 4 times. Well used to this distance he has found success over fast going as well winning on the 31st of October in a classic encounter on this very track. It’s not going to be easy but at odds of 11/1 he should be good enough to snatch a placed finish.

Hopefully Saint Dominic is the patron saint of virtual horses!

This 2 year old fillie has been progressing nicely under the radar and recording impressive training times and race results. Owned by DVDMAN1 she has won once and been placed in two of her three races so far. While she has never raced on fast going before she is well used to the distance and hasn’t raced for 9 days so fitness levels should be high. The stable owned by Niall in Northern Ireland is fast making a name for itself as a breeding ground for handy horses and ‘Santa Dominico’ is the latest off the conveyor belt!

At 5/1 she is good enough to win the 9:48 Novice Plates race in Dubai though an each way punt may be advised if you’ve been having the same bad luck as me recently!

Ken Allen and I badly need a big run from Flash Kancha in the 9:24 Getminted Monthly League Qualifier!
November 23rd, 2005
This horse doesn’t get out of bed for your run of the mill race, it needs to be a big one with big stakes. In 20 runs he has won 5 times and been placed 8, showing quality over all types of going. Has won 3 of his last 5 races but concerns abound regading his fitness levels for the 9:24. Flash Kancha is well capable of beating the rest in this field on his day but I’d settle for a placed finish at the attractive odds of 8/1.

Bookies fancy Spinnaker and I tend to agree!
November 23rd, 2005
On the face of it Spinnaker hasn’t been too impressive in his ten runs to date. A record of no wins and 5 places hardly sets him apart but both I and the bookies feel the best of this young 2 year old colt is yet to come. Diablo racing who train him have been content to run him over fast going recently and he was desperately unlucky not to snatch a place in his last race in the USA. The five furlong distance reaped a reward on the 7th of November when he was placed in Dubai and at 11/2 a place should be his in the 8:24 race from that same track.

'Oh Lucky You' grabs a place at 18/1 but can Quaker Kiah record a similar run?

After a barren spell for the tipster I was overjoyed to see 18/1 shot 'Oh Lucky You' grab a placed finish. Could this mean my luck has turned? and if so can Quaker Kiah win the 8:36? It won't be easy but this horse can produce the goods when pushed.

Has won 4 times out of 19 runs and finished in the places 6 time as well. Normally avoids the good going but feeling braver this evening. Won twice in it's last 5 races, once over 2 miles , the other over 6 furlongs, what a versatile horse! A placed finish on the cards here at the odds of 7/1.

Out for a stroll or out to win?
This 3 year old fillie has hit a rich vein of forms in recent weeks. Won in her last 3 races though the last of those was in a claimer where the quality of the field was questionable. Has been placed an amazing 26 times out of 46 runs and this is where I think she will finish this evening. Huge odds of 48/1 here, if she had three feet she'd be backable! Out 4 a stroll runs in the 8:57.

Let's hope it's not a half hearted performance!
If I trained this horse I think I wouldn't have any hair or finger nails left! Half hearted has the ability to be a very succesful horse on Getminted Racing and it's proved this at various stages in the career. However it can also disappoint in spectacular fashion. Out of 14 career runs, half hearted has won twice and been placed 5 times. I fancy this one at 15/2 to finish in the places but if it runs well it could do even better.

Are you ready for a 'Flash Dance'?

One of the jewels in the Bondagebabe Crown 'Flash dance' comes into this race at attractive odds of 15/1 in the 8:12 race. Has had 4 wins and 8 placed finishes so far and is running on favoured going this evening. The dancing queen won last time out on muddy in the USA.

Has done exceptionally well since being purchased by Dawn at the end of September and should be strong enough for a placed finish.

Lets hope luck is on this one's side!
They say form is temporary and class is constant but 'Oh lucky you' boasts both attributes. 2 wins in the last 3 races make for nice reading and with corresponding odds of 18/1, many will find this horse hard to avoid for an each way punt. Adores muddy going and is back on familiar stomping grpund tonight in Canda where it had a fine win back on the 15th of this month.

Trans4mer, race winner in disguise!

Certainly a star of the future. This horse from the Da Lewis stable has won twice and been placed 6 times out of 11 runs to date. Prefers the shorter distances and this will be the main worry for the stable. First and second in last two races so if fitnes levels are okay then form should carry this one home. A possible winner , but a placed finish at 8/1 would be okay too!

For the second time in recent weeks I’m backing Lavender Prince to find a place! Come on ya good thing ya!

The most enouraging result ahead of this race for ‘Lavender Prince’ was a win on soft in England at the end of last month. Since then this well trained 2 year old colt has picked up 2 placed finishes and on his day is a handful for any horse. At odds of 13/2 punters will be racing to their pcs to back him and its easy to see why.

In this inexperienced line up its important to stress many of these horses have never raced against each other before. Significantly ‘Lavender Prince’ has always done well in big fields and certainly wont be put off in the 9:48 showdown. While he has the ability to win this one , hedge your bets with an each way flutter.

If fitness levels are okay Princess Aura to run well in the land of the kangaroo and koala!
November 20th, 2005
The bookies seem convinced that DVDMAN1’s ‘Princess Aura’ is all washed up ahead of the 8:24 race in Australia. They’ve laid down big odds of 50/1 on this girl despite the fact that she has never finished out of the top 3 in all races. Last time out she won over soft going on this very track despite the attentions of a full field of 14. Has never raced on yielding before but her experience on soft should stand to her. Has raced 3 times in the last 8 days so fitness levels may be a little low, still at this price she must be considered for a placed finish.

Orchids ablaze to light up the night’s proceedings!
November 20th, 2005
The last time this old fillie ran on yielding ground she won in a tight encounter on the 7th of October beating the likes of Sharkey Kementari, Pefume Garden and Sparton sword. Has had more owners than John Hartson has had football clubs. Andy at AML Racing (who we are all thinking of and praying for), Andy Hargie stables, The Clan and Big Nig have all enjoyed success with ‘Orchids Ablaze’ and current owners Perry’s stable will be hoping for more of the same. Odds here are a tasty 13/2 and an each way punt is advisable for the 8:12 race. Has raced on 59 occassions, winning 10 times and being placed in 23. A 6 furlong specialist who hasn’t raced since the 11th of this month.

Try Try again to go close in the 9:48 race in the USA!

Form over fast has been good for this 4 year old colt. Busy in recent days ‘Try Try again’ has been out on 2 of the last 4 days winning yesterday on firm going in Hong Kong. Trained by the Lister stable he has won 4 and been placed in 19 of his 33 races to date and should increase one of those stats this evening. Won on fast back in May but since then has had to settle for a string of placed finishes over this going.

The odds stand at 5/1 so a win would be needed to secure enough for a damn good saturday night out but an each way punt may be the wiser option.

Outsider ‘Ravers Pinseeker’ in with a chance of a placed finish.
November 19th, 2005
Despite not having the best of luck over the last three nights with my long shots I’ve decided to back Ravers Pinseeker for a placed finish in the 9:36 race in the USA. In an unimpressive field experience may be vital and this 2 year old colt has been out 7 times. Also unlike most of the horses in this field he has run over fast going before finishing a credible 8th out of 14 in a race featuring some of the bigger and more succesful stables on Getminted. Fantasy odds of 58/1 here but I think the bookies will be the ones with egg on their face after this race. The raver for a place.

Camel to make a mockery of the name in the 8:36!
November 19th, 2005
El Zorro must be celebrating since the day they bought this 3 year old colt. In 4 races to date the 20/1 shot has won 3 times and been placed once. This will be the longest distance ‘Camel’ will have run so far so he should be able to handle it with the same ease he’s displayed in all of his races so far. The last race for this colt was 4 days ago in Canada when he won in a small field of 4 on muddy going. Has never tried out fast going before but has raced over soft, muddy and good showing his versatility and overall talent. At these odds ‘Camel’ must be worth a flutter for a placed finish.

TIP: Will the 32/1 shot be music to the ears of shrewd punters?

The first thing you notice about the line up for the 9:24 race is that the quality is poor, poor, poor. But then it was always going to be in a race of this standard. However our old friend Lee of the Muggins racing stable will be confident that 'Music Lesson' can shine here.

Interestingly Lee's brother Nick informed us on our live show that Lee is a school teacher hence the name perhaps.Music Lesson has raced on 3 occassions and been placed once. She has never run on soft before and the bookies don't fancy her chances. Odds of 32/1 here which seem a bit generous but I'm not going to complain. A placed finish well within her capabilities.

TIP: You'd be fairly silly not to back 'Fairly Filly"!

Nice odds here. 13/1 for a horse who has shown excellent potential in her 5 runs so far. Won once but that was in a claimer, has also had two credible placed finishes and should run well in the 8:24 race.

She should like this going and the Catonkyroo stables will be expecting big things. Just finding her feet on Getminted, keep an eye out for her for a placed finish.

TIP: Nothing lucky about this old girl!

Its very rare that I opt for a favourite usually turned off by the fact that the odds are so short. However in a very tight field, the bookies have installed 'Lucky Boadicea' as the top tip at good odds of 4/1.

This vastly experienced 5 year old fillie had a bad day at the office in her last race finishing in a lowly 8th place. However she has had ample time to recover and will be hard to beat in the 8:12 race in Hong Kong. Out of 76 runs, she has won 12 times and been placed on 31 trips. Likes this distance and is a definate each way tip.

TIP: Longshot Lady Berna to cause a suprise if fitness levels are high!

This is the ultimate long shot. AT 68/1 the worry is that Lady Berna is knackered after running over the last two nights however stranger things have happened in the past. Won yesterday in Canada on muddy going and should be able to make the switch to good easily. Has won 2 of her last 3 races, and while Sagitario 38 will be cheering her on for a shock victory the best she can realistically hope for would be a placed finish at those massive odds.

TIP: Will the maid clean up in the 8:57?

This horse has impressed so far (unlike many of my latest tips!!!). While still a newcomer to Getminted Racing 'Swiss Maid' has displayed ample talent and staying power and at 14/1 must be fancied for at least a place in this field. This is her first time out on soft but still I think she'll be good enough to ruffle some feathers!

TIP:Sweet Dreams for third favourite in the 8:24

Versatility is a key to success on Getminted racing and this horse has that in abundance. In his 16 races so far the 2 year old colt has won on 6 trips and been placed 7 times. While he won on his last run out on good going in Hong Kong his last race on fast going was less memorible. Finished 8th in the Breeders cup but in fairness it was an exceptional field, stronger than the 8:24 will throw up tonight. Odds are at 11/2 here and 'Dream Well' must be fancied for an each way punt.

Clare Island to land a place in the 9:36 despite the shorter distance!

With an 80% place to run ratio Clare Island is content on finishing in the top three rather than crossing that line first. Trained by the Ashlands stable who are excelling as a stable despite joining up as recently as the 25 th of October this year. Has only raced on muddy once before and it was a bit dissappointing coming in 3rd out of a small field of 4. However that said he has given hints that he’s on the brink of something big.

The key to Clare Island’s success may be the shorter distance and Ashlands may have hit the sweet spot by entering him in this race. Odds stand at 22/1 with a placed finish on the cards.

If Bigo’s bullet has turned the corner then he could suprise at massive odds!
November 16th, 2005
A risky tip but if it comes off we’ll be singing all the way to the bank! 40/1 are the odds for Bigo’s Bullet from the Evilo Racing stables. Has only raced 3 times in his career, winning for the first time on muddy in Dubai. That was last Friday , the victory made all the more sweet considering it was a strong full field of 14. A step up in quality expected tonight in the Getminted Monthly Leauge Qualifier off at 9:24 and the best we can hope for is a placed finish.

Chalcedony to leave the bookies feeling the blues in the 8:36!
November 16th, 2005
This 2 year old colt’s record on muddy is impressive. Out of 3 runs on this going he won 2 of them and in glorious style. Is well used to this distance but Dallas1 may have favoured another furlong or two. In 12 outings so far Chalcedony Blue has entered the winner’s enclosure on 4 occasions and been placed on 4 as well. At 16/1 he’s hard to overlook especially in the wake of his impressive victory last Sunday over Good going in Australia. An each way punt could be a good move.

Buying a horse in the claiming races or at auction!

Many of our more established owners refuse to pick up a horse in the Sales Ring. While one can see the thinking behind it the thing is every horse was bought from here at one stage or another. However they maintain its makes more sense to either buy a horse who is running in a claiming race or pick one up at auction.

Why? well you can gauge how good the animal is due to its runs for it's previous stable. Some owners sell their better horses on purpose and get a preety penny for them. Its like buying an old run down cottage and turning it into a fine holiday home, you make it into a prized assett and then realise its value through the sale.

However some owners who perhaps enter their horses in the wrong races, over/under train them and do not give them the vitamins and other essentials needed for optimum performance can sell a fine horse without realising it themselves. I've seen this happen. A horse previously unheard of starts picking up the wins over different conditions.

Horses entered in claiming races will have a reserve price put on them. If you are first in and offer the reserve price then the horse is yours. Auctions are held at different stages throughout the month and obviously the highest bidder walks away with the beast! Always keep an eye out for horses from the top stables who end up in claiming races or at auction, chances are they have huge ability.

You can find out about which horses are coming up for claimers/auction by chatting with the other owners on the forum. Generally experienced owners are only too happy to help out newcomers so don't be shy. A dumb priest never got a parish!

Sabre hill to emulate last night’s fantastic display by Fuzzy Navel!

While my other two tips last night are still running what about Fuzzy navel’s amazing run? At 26/1 he finished 2nd saving my blushes and winning some big bucks for many of you punters and owners alike. I fancy Sabre Hill at 18/1 to possibly get a similar result in the 9:36 race in Canada this eveing on Getminted racing’s live televised show on Sky Channel 235.

He won on muddy going on this track last wednesday though the distance was a furlong shorter. Still he’s been well rested and can finish in the places. Join us tonight to find out, Gabe Turner and I will hopefully be calling this one home in the top three places! Good luck to all.

Book your ticket on American Airlines!
November 15th, 2005
A milestone for this skip trained horse as its race number 10 for her and hasn’t she done well so far. In 9 races ‘American Airlines’ has won 3 and be placed in 4. Last wednesday she won on muddy here in Canada over the exact same distance chosen tonight. While the field tonight will be made up of more established horses and owners she still has the ability to do well. The bookies rate her at 13/1 which Im sure suprised the Skip stable and many of our daily punters. So a flutter for an each way finish may be on the cards. Don’t miss the flight, take off is at 8:48!

Will the hampster be rampant in the 8:12 race in Canada?
November 15th, 2005
Rampant Hampster has had some of his best performances over muddy going and if he can continue that run looks an impressive each way punt in the first televised race of the night at long odds of 22/1. The quality of the field is high but the Hampster proved as recently as last Wednesday that he is a force to be reckoned with on Getminted racing. On good going in Australia he beat of some handy colts to claim a fine win, the 11th of a 54 race career. Add to this the 21 placed finishes he has notched up so far and you can see why he has a chance of a place in this race.

If Jet girl can handle a bit of mud then you could be singing all the way to the bank!

Like real people some virtual horses are a bit ….well… soft! While many like to get down and dirty on the muddy, soft and yielding goings others prefer sunny days, clear skies and good, firm and fast ground to run on! As an owner though you put up with it and collect the winnings with a smile. DJ Digital D has on his hands one of the finest fillies in the game in ‘Jet Girl’ though this little lady likes the finer things in life.

Her recent form has been in a word ‘excellent’ with 2 wins and 3 placed finishes in her last 5 races though interestingly one back on the 9th of November was a claimer. Tonight in the 9:55 the bookies are pricing her at 20/1 hoping she’ll fail over the muddy going. Not alone has she never run on muddy going, but has yet to feel soft or yielding going underneath her pampered feet to date either. Here’s hoping for a good run and a placed finish from this ‘LADY’!

The bookies rule out Ginger Paul for success, but unless he’s running on 3 legs then he should do very well!
November 14th, 2005
Well I don’t understand it. ‘Ginger Paul’ has won 3 claiming races, been placed in all of his competitive races and still the bookies price him at 36/1. Well hopefully its a rare oversight by them and there isn’t another factor in determining these long odds. More controversy surrounds this 3 year old colt’s career as the previous owners ‘Samster’ entered him in 5 claiming races though it was clear he was good enough to do well and earn a mint for the stable. Last time out on soft ‘Ginger Paul’ finished 2nd to Penaltyz though the field only consisted on 3 runners. The new owners ‘NOSMILE FARMS ‘ are experienced and shrewd. Expect a placed finish from this boy in the 8:48 race.

Funny name, serious talent!
November 14th, 2005
With only one run under his belt so far ‘Fuzzy Navel’ has already displayed the kind of talent which is vital for success on GetMinted Racing. Last wednesday this 2 year old colt finished 2nd in the USA over two miles just missing out on the win. Okay the qulaity of the field was very average but finsihing 2nd out of 14 on your first trip out inspires confidence. Trained by the flannyblue stable he has a shot here at 26/1 and I fancy him for a placed finish. Fuzzy Navel runs in the 8:36 race in Hong Kong.

Gluestick at avoid the Glue factory!

Finally this Fizzypig trained horse is starting to show a turn in fortune. Its been a frustrating carrer for this 2 year old colt, 13 races and only 3 placed finishes to show for it so far.

However was 2nd last time out on muddy over this exact distance in Dubai, a race which he came so so close to winning. At 11/2 Gluestick represents good value for an each way punt.

Shabernak back to favoured conditions in Canada.
This fine virtual animal hasn't had a win now for some time so perhaps tonight in the 9:12 it could be back in the winners enclosure. Experienced and strong, Shabernak has 4 wins and 15 placed finishes out of 43 runs to date. Likes the muddy and rarely disappoints over this going. The distance too is perfect so perhaps all the signs suggest a good run with a placed finish at 6/1 most likely.

Layca to lord it in the last race of the night!
The bookies may have slipped up here by giving Layca the healthy odds of 10/1 in the 9:55. Trained by the excellent Asturteam stable Layca won last time out on muddy in Dubai and by all accounts the race winner was never in doubt. Faces a slightly longer distance today but this is arguably the horse's favoured going. With 6 wins and 15 places out of 35 runs to date Layca is good enough for an each way flutter!

Well done to the Muggins stable and also the Scanners yard!

Last night Lee (Muggins stable) came on air and won £50 in the lucky text tip competition. He found out about the game from his brother Lee and if he can replicate his brother will become an owner to be feared in the future. Well done Lee. Remember if you refer somebody you can earn £56 in credits for your own stable so get others involved now! Also you can now win £50 on the lucky text tip. Just tune in at 9:24 to the Getminted racing show on Sky Channel 235.

Also well done to the Scanners stable who registered their first win this morning. Well done mate may it be the first of many.

Not for the first time in my life I’m relying on the bar man!

Yes another Saturday and a host of excellent line ups at our virtual race tracks across the globe. Perhaps the strongest field comes together for the 9:55 sprint in Hong Kong. In this one I fancy Lord Jinxy’s ‘Bar Man’ to finish in the places at a good price of 25/1. Won 2 of his last 5 races and always performs well on good going.

Has only raced twice so far in November so I’m hoping his fitness levels are as high as possible. The quality of this field is high and it will be a difficult for ‘Bar Man’ but that said on his day he can easily mix it up with the best.

Silver dart to hit the bulls eye!
November 12th, 2005
In his 43 race history to date Silver dart has continually done well on good going. While recent form has been up and down he has the capabilities to even win this race at the attractive odds of 11/1. His last win came on muddy on the 21st of October displaying a good final kick. Has won 7 races and been placed on 11 trips and should add to one of those figures when the 8:48 finishes.

You’re too good to be true, can’t take my eyes off of you!
November 12th, 2005
As I sit here in my living room this afternoon with one eye on the Ireland v New Zealand rugby match and one eye on the ggs I cant help going for ‘Grand Lady’ in the 8:12 at good odds of 18/1. I’ve questioned my decision but to hell with it. Form on good going generally has been poor. Though last time out on this type of going she won all be it in a claiming race. Since that confidence boosting display Grand Lady has shown more consistency and steel. While a win is unlikely though possible, I think a placed finish is a wiser possibility.

Take it away KabiKusi Kabigum! … also well done to onwards and upwards!

November 11th, 2005
A good week for me really, have had horses placed at the long odds of 54/1, 40/1, 24/1 and last night Ken Allens Onwards and Upwards continued the great run placing at 16/1. Tonight a long shot who really has the ability to perform much better than the odds suggest is Kabikusi Kabigum at the long odds of 36/1. Has registered a couple of victories on muddy already and won her last 2 races.

My fear is that fitness levels are down as the bookies really have decided this fine fillie won’t feature in the 9:55 race. Therefore a placed finish is likley and it surely would start your weekend off well. Good luck to all owners and punters and keep watching Getminted on Sky Channel 235. Tonight with me Graham Clifford and Ces Loader.

Bottom of the sea or top of the field?
November 11th, 2005
Nicolson stable realise that on form their 3 year old colt ‘Snorkeler‘ can challenge the best in the game. The problem is this boy is either up for it or runs to make up the numbers. Tonight at 24/1 he is well worth a flutter for a placed finish. Showed good form over muddy recently but sulked when entered in a claimer two races ago. The going wont be a problem but the slightly longer distance might. That said he’s good enough for a placed finish at thouse long long odds in the 8:57 race.

Swiss maid to take first televised race of the night!
November 11th, 2005
This should be a good competitive race with many of the newcomers looking strong and well trained. ‘Swiss Maid’ fits into that category. The Ocean Park trained horse has won once and been placed once in it’s 2 races to date and at 8/1 could be good enough to win here tonight. That win came 3 days ago in Dubai when Swiss maid’ won well over a slightly shorter distance on this type of going. Many of the other horses in the field though of high quality have either never or very rarely tried out muddy before so keep an eye on the maid!

Another good night for the tipster as Pontevedra gets placed but will the run continue ‘onwards and upwards’?

I thought it was there. For a split second as they came to the line I was sure the 24/1 shot Pontevedera would take the line first but in the end had to settle for runners up spot. I certainly wasn’t complaing and I doubt those who backed this fine horse were either. Tonight in the 9:24 race (lucky text tip race for Getminted viewers) I expect a similar run from Ken Allen’s Onwards and Upwards at a healthy price of 16/1.

While the 2 year old fillie normally sticks to the soft, yielding and muddy going Ken has decided to try her out on good going down under. The distance wont be a problem either as this fine fillie chases win number 4. An each way punt advisiable!

Slow mo camera has the pace to worry fellow fillies!
November 10th, 2005
A change of tact here by the Diablo Racing stable. They’re running 64/1 shot ‘Slow mo camera’ over a much shorter distance than she is normally used to hoping it will reap big rewards. This 2 year old fillie registered a fine win on fast which we have this evening in Canada beating a field which included ‘Queen of night’ and ‘Nicolina’. The record of 1 win and 7 placed finishes out of 10 races speaks for itself. Rathers the bridesmaid role that that of the Bride and at these long odds is more likely to get a place than win in the 8:48 race.

Regal Aviation to fly in the 8:36 in Canada!
November 10th, 2005
While Regal Aviation has never recorded a win on fast he is worth considering at the long odds of 36/1. Last time out the Funtime Frankie trained colt had a nightmare placed 11th on yielding in Australia. He and the stable have had almost a week to right the wrongs of that woeful day and I think he may be good enough to record a placed finish. Out of 26 races so far Regal Aviation has won 4 times and been placed in 10. Likes the longer distances and this trip will suit him tonight.

Andaluscian gets a place at 54/1, and Pontevedra has the ability to cause a shock as well.

Thats the Christmas present fund sorted for many of you! Andalucsian at 54/1 finished second last night as predicted by yours truly, a great run from a dependable horse. Tonight in the 8:57 Pontevedra at 24/1 could make it two good nights in a row.

Not carrying a weight handicap from his last race, a win on muddy in Dubai he really has burst onto the scene as a contender to be feared. Granted he prefers one furlong less than he will face tonight but still this Winnie trained horse has a formiddable record on muddy. Each way punt recommended.

Whose brave enough to beat the Baltic Warrior?
November 9th, 2005
Consistent and reliable Baltic Warrior is a horse any stable would love to have on their books. Won on his last trip out despite carrying 132 lbs in weight and must be fancied to go close this evening in the 8:36 in Canada. A born sprinter he loves this distance and has shown good potential on soft and muddy going to date. He has 3 wins and 5 placed finishes from 15 races so far and at 25/1 must be worth an each way flutter.

Rice and Peas anyone?
November 9th, 2005
This horse’s name sums up my cooking ability! But will she be cooking tonight?!! At 36/1 she is certainly worth looking at in terms of a placed finish in the 8:12 in Canada. It’s not an experienced field but in saying that the quality is high. Rice and Peas has only raced once to date, that was a win over muddy going in Dubai. A longer distance will test this horse from the Perrywinkle stable but she may just be good enough to maintain that 100% record. I’m going to take the cautious approach though and back her for a place.

Here goes nothing!!!! Come on old neddy!

If this tip comes off then I’m going to ditch my job as a presenter and roam the racetracks of Britain and Ireland with nothing more than a hip flask and a packet of murray mints for company! I’m backing Newport Ned at 38/1 to get placed in the 9:48 in England. Why? well I think this 2 year old colt has been entered in fields with too much quality so far, a situation which certainly wont materialise in this race.

Its not true by the way that we’ve bought more airtime for tonight’s show in the event this lot dont finish till around midnight! Newport ned has raced on 7 occassions with just one placed finish under the belt so far, I expect a second placed finish here tonight!

Gone to far…why turn back!
November 8th, 2005
Well if theres a ground ‘Gone to Far’ likes then this is it. Has had great success over yielding recently and will have no problems in England if he can maintain a good pace over the 2 miles. Won on his last trip out in Australia 3 days ago overcoming the challenge of quality horses such as ‘Could be so good’ and ‘Minneola’. Overall has registered 2 wins and 4 placed finishes out of 7 runs and must be fancied on an each way punt for this evening’s showdown at 6/1.

Massive odds for Andalucian in the 8:36
November 8th, 2005
Apparently this 3 year old colt is struggling with fitness. While this factor may rule him out for victory he must be tipped for a placed finish none the less. Andaluscian has been very impressive of late, winning 1 and being placed in 4 of his last 5 races. Last time out on soft was on the 3rd of this month when he finished 2nd in the UK. The bookies are offering odds of 54/1 so a small flutter may reap a healthy reward!

Response to Forum postings

Good afternoon all,

Firstly I just want to stress the future of live shows is not in doubt. As Getminted Racing is still in it's infancy as a show we need to try out a few different options before we settle on the right format. Now before you shoot the messenger I agree that I would like some aspects of the show to stay the same also, but many decisions are out of my hands. The show is improving behind the scenes and expect to see a more professional and polished output in the near future (especially in the new year).

The purpose of trying out one presenter is to ensure more of the horses are looked at before races. The main reason for this is that some owners were rightly annoyed that their entrants were overlooked due to too much banter between presenters. If we remove most of the banter then perhaps it makes sense to have just one presenter. Again lets see how it works if indeed this is the path that the programme makers decide to go down.

So you may wonder why I asked for your feedback if the decisions will be made anyway? Your input, be it positive or negative is logged and will be taken into consideration when making future changes.

The producers have noted your comments about the 'shouting' presenter too, it may well be a problem with the microphone.....it's not a problem with your tv sets! By the way Dave is the producer not the presenter in question.

Cheers all,
Graham

Thank you for your comments one and all!

Read your feedback guys regarding the 'one presenter' idea. It may be the case that this option is tried out as a trial in December but this is not certain yet. As regards the two hour time slot Richard, to my knowledge that is set in stone. However with this said talks are at an early stage about having another broadcast earlier in the day. Thank you for your comments, keep them coming!

Will God give Grey Monk a helping hand to success?

In the last televised race of the night Grey Monk at 4/1 may notch up victory number 6. Its a tight field and the gap in quality between the favourite to the outsider isn’t huge. However Grey Monk has had some decent recent form including a win in his last race in Dubai back on the 24th of October.

Hasn’t raced then in 2 weeks so fitness should be as close to 100% as possible. Form on good going has fluctuated but when he gets the bit between his teeth he’s hard to beat. Good enough for a win though I may go for an each way punt instead to be on the safe side!

Butterfly Kisses, corny name, good horse, great tip!
November 7th, 2005
Yes I wonder if a woman named this horse! Anyhow it matters not. This 5 year old Fillie named ‘Butterfly Kisses’ has done very well for the Lois stable notching up 10 wins and 17 placed finishes out of 52 runs to date. Last time out on muddy back on the 28th of October he entered the winners enclosure in Canada beating the likes of ’sinister dreams, Titanium Boadicea and Adrenalin’. At 28/1 this girl certainly is an attractive option, strong, solid and usually consistent she may suprise all. A worthy each way punt.

Pig Blood Blues one to watch in the 8:12 from Dubai!
November 7th, 2005
A colt in excellent recent form ‘Pig Blood Blues’ from the Guaybanex stable comes in at odds of 40/1. Has won 3 of his last 5 races, all on muddy going which he will find underfoot tonight in the middle east. Pig Blood Blues has experienced a big fall in weigth for tonight’s race, usually runs off 132 lbs but is 120lbs for this one. Has won 5 and been placed in 12 of his 29 races to date and if this form continues should get a placed finish tonight in Dubai.

Seven Seven Seven to send owners into Seventh Heaven!

Its very rare that the bookies drop to odds of 10/1 for such an accomplished horse. A long standing member of the Diablo Racing stable Seven Seven Seven won her last race on muddy going on the 1st of this month in Canada with style and panache. The worry is fitness levels may be low as the 6 year old colt has raced over the last two days and this distance and going will be sapping indeed.

However with that said a placed finish may be on the cards here in the OUTSIDERS 1000 tributed race. Usually a stayer Diablo Racing think this short distance of 7 furlongs may be just whats needed for their boy and I think they’re right!

Setanic Predator to create horror show for others in the 9:24 in the USA
November 6th, 2005
While muddy going hasn’t been Setanic predator’s favoured going recently he has shown in the past that he can run well on this going. Huge odds offered for the latest of the Dallas1 horses and at 40/1 its hard to take your eyes off him (thats the horse not Dallas1!) 2 of this horses 8 wins came on muddy including a fine win on the 25th of August in Dubai . Recent form has been up and down, 3 wins in the last 5 races but also included is a 13th place finish on soft in hong kong. A longer distance here than Setanic Predator is used to normally but resting since the 29th of last month he should be ready to get into the places at least.

Road to success ready for Grand Avenue!
November 6th, 2005
A host of races on Getminted tonight where horses are currently experiencing poor form so this will be a tense night for owners who know their entrants can do better. In the 8:48 in England keep an eye out for ‘Grand Avenue’ from the Stable TSIN owners. At 9/1 this 3 year old colt represents good value for an each way flutter. We hear from the track it’ll be good going in England tonight and Grand Avenue has had 2 of his 4 wins over this type of going. Granted they came in his first two races back in July but still it shows on his day he can handle this type of going. Overall stats show he has won 4 and been placed in 8 of his 24 runs to date. Tonight should see some return to form.

A few congratulations and questions for our owners!

Firstly I want to congratulate Lord Jinxy for making it win number 50 today with Ladyhawke romping home, He followed that up with a fantastic victory from Buffalo Bills and has his eyes firmly fixed on the 100 winners mark. The way old Jinx is going I dont think he'll have to wait too long!

Also Deduson reached the half century mark though he seemed a little confused/drunk when posting a message saying "Thank you for all your kind remarks on my 5th winner"! Well sone Deduson, may the wins continue.

Dallas 1 and The Outsiders have had races dedicated to them this weekend for reaching the 1000 winners mark. Both are excellent stables and the former showed that last night when Zakiyyah won the first of the Dallas 1 1000 sprint races at 6/1 (I had backed him for a win on this site so I was thrilled!)

Also I just want to say well done to the Glashieburn Don stable. Last night their colt Grey Dawn II recorded a 2nd place finish at the massive odds of 34/1. Not to blow my own trumpet but I had backed that one for a placed finish last night so it was a great night for me overall.

You may have noticed that we are trying out one presenter for the live show on Sky Channel 235. The main reasons for this relate to time constraints. With 2 presenetrs many of the horses involved dont get covered and we realise owners want to see their horses on screen and hear the commentators views on them. Also it looks better and one presenter is clearer on the split screen. However let me know what you think about this move by posting a message for my attention on the Questions and Answers section of the forum. Your input would really be appreciated.

Best of luck all.

Golden Dream wins Getminted Monthly Challenge Final and other flock to congratulate Bondagebabe stables.

I can safely say this was one of the more popular victories on Getminted racing. The sight of Golden Dream crossing the line first ahead of some of the finest horses in the game was cheered on in many sitting rooms across the country and indeed in our studio in London! Lining up at the start Golden Dream had it all to do, the likes of Dallas 1's Paris of Troy, Ken Allen's Dream Kancha and Diablo Racing's Fifth Columnist were many people's favouties to land the money. However Golden Dream wasn't going to be beaten and in dramatic fashion crossed the winning line first.

Instantly the praise poured in for trainer Dawn who was working at the time of the race and heard the good news from partner Bryan who is himself doing very well of late as an owner. Major Chase wrote "nice win, so which pub are you buying rounds in?" while Andy Hargie wrote "Well done Dawn, great win , its nice to see a new player win a big race". The way she's going I'd watch out for Dawn if I were one of the big earners, this gals getting better and better.

From all at Getminted Well done Dawn, keep up the good work and see you in the winners enclosure again soon.

Big stakes should see a big performance from Zakiyyah!

The race off at 9:24 in England really should be something of a classic. £245 is up for grabs for this race alone and so some of the main owners on Getminted are out in force. I fancy Dallas 1’s Zakiyyah to win here at 6/1 and so do many of the other owners on the forums. This vastly experienced colt rarely runs on firm going but when he does it’s usually with some success.

Last time out he won on soft in Australia and showed good signs ahead of this race. Dallas cleverly rested him since that race back on the 31st of October and expect a powerful push by Zakiyyah this evening. At best a win at worst a placed finish I predict.

Snot gonna be too difficult for this dallas 1 horse!!
November 5th, 2005
No it’s not a spelling error , the horse Im backing in the 8:36 is called ‘Sid Snot Licker’! and he reigns supreme in the Dallas1 stable. The odds are long at 24/1 because of his last performance when he finished 11th on fast. However deeper investigation would show form on fast for this 2 year old colt has always been poor. On muddy going which we will have this evening though things seem very different. Has won once and been placed on 5 trips out of 10 runs in total. Solid for a placed finish.

Grey Dawn II looking good for success in the 8:12 in Dubai.

November 5th, 2005
At 34/1 the temptation to back Grey Dawn II is massive. A newcomer of sorts to Getminted this Glashieburn Don trained colt has progressed very nicely winning 4 and being placed in 4 of his 12 races to date. Not even two weeks old he has generated £175 so far for the stable, not bad going atall. In his last race Grey Dawn II won in stylish fashion on muddy ground in Dubai however it was a small field so that should be noted before putting your life savings on this fella! Hasn’t raced in almost a week so fitness levels should be high, the distance of 7 furlongs is perfect and so are this horses chances. Each way punt would be a wise option.

Can Silver Cat make it win number 6 in Australia tonight, watch Getminted racing on Sky Channel 235 to find out!

In the last televised race of the night a strong field lines up to do battle over the 2 mile distance. Some are old hands at this long trip while others are less. A horse who I think should be raced over 2 miles more often is 'Silver Cat' . A solid 3 year old colt he has shown much promise but delivered very little.

In saying that his recent form on muddy and yielding suggest he has turned the corner and after being rested since his last race on the 27th of October he should be fit and ready for tonight. At 14/1 this cat could start your weekend off with a bang (and I don’t mean a firecracker!)

Morrocoyero is one to watch in the 9:48
November 4th, 2005
Though limited in experience I think this horse from the El Zorro stable could finish in the top three all going well. Has raced on 4 times before tonight and in that time has won once and been placed three times. Steadily finding his feet Morrocoyero floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee! Won in his last race back on the 28th of last month in Canada and why the bookies priced him at 24/1 for tonight’s race is beyond me. An each way punt could be a wise option.

Only 2nd race for Da Vinci Swindle but already a force to fear!
November 4th, 2005
I’ve seen this 2 year old colt run before and really think he could do well for the Diablo stable. Just one run under his belt so far and that came in the USA where Da Vinci Swindle finished 2nd out of a full and strong field of 14 and threatened victory on many occassions during that race. Trying out his luck on the fast today and at odds of 12/1 may make a nice eachway flutter.

Can Grand Passion emulate Classic Rock’s great run at long odds tonight!

Well done if you followed my advice and backed Classic Rock at 18/1 for a place last night. He didn’t disappoint finishing 2nd just missing out on what would have been a famous victory. Perhaps Grand Passion at the longer odds of 30/1 can also get you minted by finishing in the places. Rediscovered her form in her last race on soft on Monday grasping victory in a full field in Australia.
Royal Express finishing first in GetMinted Monthly League Qualifier-2YC earning EUR569 for Bryan1969. Classic Rock is second pocketing EUR146 for EL ZORRO.

Prefers the Soft, Yielding and muddy going and comes into this race on a high after a couple of poor runs in October. Has won on 7 trips and been placed on 8 in a 28 race career. The owners TimA flirted with the idea of selling Grand Passion entering it in 5 claiming races but if she can get a good run going could start to dominate in this grade and class range. Placed finish on the cards!

This race may have come Justyn Thyme!
November 3rd, 2005
Now and again a horse comes along who floats your boat and ‘Justyn Thyme’ may just be that horse. Has only raced twice before. Finished 2nd in those two including a narrow defeat to Lavender Prince on soft going here in the UK. That 2nd place finish came back on the 26th of October so trainers Double Silk have been gearing up for this race and may believe today is the day their 2 year old colt registers his first win. Odds stand at 5/1 making an each way flutter a tempting option.

3 races in 3 nights, can ‘Dissapointment’ keep the great run going?

November 3rd, 2005
I normally avoid horses who have run on the two previous nights but at 11/1 the odds for this Diablo Trained fillie are too attractive to overlook. Despite winning her last two races there is no weight handicap against ‘Dissapointment’ and if she can mount a challenge she will get placed at least. The distance for this outing in England isn’t ideal for this girl as shes used to shorter but still has the ability to get something. Vastly experienced she has run on 136 occasions winning 26 and being placed 59 times. Won well last night on yielding in Hong Kong and may be a shrewd each way punt.

Last televised race of the night to land a place for Deadly venom!

It feels like this 7 year old fillie has been around for ever! Has raced on an incredible 224 occassions entering the winners enclosure on 44 trips and being placed on 91 runs. Steady and consistent she has delivered nearly 4 and a half grand in winnings for the Golden Glory Racing stable and should add to that tonight at the luring odds of 14/1.

While yielding isnt her favoured going, Deadly Venom still will take a lot of beating. Each way punt would be a wise option. Best of luck to all punters and owners alike.

Classic Rock set for the big time!
November 2nd, 2005
This El Zorro trained colt has taken the eye already after just 4 races and in the Getminted League qualifier at 9:24 tonight could add to his 1 win and 3 places amassed so far. Raced over muddy going in his maiden race in Dubai and finished 2nd out of a big field of 12. Strong and a fast finisher Classic Rock has never finished outside the money and at 18/1 represents excellent value. Fitness may be a wee bit low as he raced on monday but I still think he makes an attractive each way option for shrewd punters!

If Scorpion King can handle the fitness he can suprise at long odds!

November 2nd, 2005
‘Scorpion King’ has been busy lately. A host of runs in October came to an end on Monday when this succesful 2 year old colt finished 1st in Hong Kong over good going. It was win number 8 out of 28 runs so this Bondage Babe trained colt wins on average 1 in 3. I think the bookies have decided he is knackered but at odds of 52/1 he must be considered for a placed finish. Last time out on yielding was narrowly beaten in Hong Kong, a similar result at such odds would be welcomed indeed.

Top tip comes to fruition as Tuna Lick finishes second at 42/1 but day remembered for the death of a legend.

It was a strange day yesterday as Tuna Lick came second at 42/1 as predicted. While that certainly was something to celebrate the day will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Best Mate's death has shocked the racing world and we here at Getminted wish to extend our sincerest condolences to everyone involved with this incredible horse. I was speaking to Jim Culloty recently, the jockey who won three Cheltenham Gold Cups on Best Mate's back and he simply described the horse as 'magical'.

Can Fuschia Samurai sort itself out over fast going!

This 4 year old colt has had huge success in recent times but fast has not helped in adding to the 8 wins to date. It’s a strange reaction for a horse who has the ability to be one of the best in the game. three wins out of the last four races would suggest this colt is good enough to win but all have been on the favoured soft and muddy going.

However at 18/1 Fuschia samurai may finally get some long awaited success on fast and a placed finish in the 9:48 could kick start a purple patch on this type of going.

Tuna to lick rest of field!
November 1st, 2005
Well the 8:48 in the USA is set to provide a shock with the likes of Tuna Lick in good form but given long odds of 42/1 by the bookies. Has raced on 4 occassions and has won 2 and been placed in the other 2. Won on the 25th of September over fast on this very track but had a non eventful October racing only once. Like Best Mate running today this 2 year old fillie will be eager to get back to racing and should be good enough to secure a placed finish at least.

Double w Double is one to watch in the 8:24
November 1st, 2005
A commentators nightmare in terms of her name but ‘Double W Double’ is a trainer’s dream. Has had just 4 competitive runs to date and won 1 and was placed in 2 of the others. Interestingly has been entered in 2 claimers one of which resulted in success back on the 26th of October on soft going. Last time out narrowly missed out on a victory in Dubai 2 days ago. Also a point to note is that Double w Double won her only race on fast back on the 16th of October . At 6/1 should be a shrewd each way option.
