Astrometeorology makes it win number 24 with stylish finish!

Make no doubt about it this was a fantastic victory for the excellent Astrometeorology! At 7/1 many thought the 4 year old fillie was past her best but she won in style for the 24th time in her career in the 9:12 race last night. It was another win for one of this site's top tips so make sure you check here daily for the next winner!

For all tonight's top tips please click on read more....

River Queen - 8:12 - 54/1

This really is a gamble but if it comes off I'll be the toast of getminted!!! River Queen, a 7 year old fillie who has been around the block more times than Elizabeth Taylor enters this race priced at a massive, gigantic, awesome 54/1! With 23 wins and 40 placed finishes in her 140 competitive runs so far she's coupled brilliance with inconsistency. A winner last time out she blitzed a field of 9 in the UK to ensure victory. That win came on yielding, the same type of going as we have this evening in Australia and if she can handle weight and fitness concerns then she could at least get up to nail a place.

Young Kancha - 8:57 - 33/1

This old colt may have been young once but not anymore. Now the 6 year old spends most of his time in Senior Allowance races but has a few big days left in him thats for sure. In 81 runs the derekw10 trained Young Kancha has recorded 11 wins and 29 placed finishes. Never quite lived up to the quality of other Ken Allan horses but Derek paid £56 to land this boy in his stable. Won last time out on good in the UK back on the 18th of May. After a nice rest he may well challenge tonight and could land a placed finish. In a strong field a win seems beyond him but he ceratinly has good each way potential.

Hundred Reasons - 9:36 - 15/2

It's hard not to get excited by this 3 year old colt's potential. With a 35% win to run ratio (9 wins in 26 races) he's on the crest of a wave and could go all to way to becoming one of Getminted's best. Had a poor day at the office last time out a week ago today finishing 10th out of 14 in Australia but hopefully for him and for the slowstables he's dealt with that and now will get back to winning ways. Loves the 5 furlong sprint distance and won when last out on fast back on the 13th of May. A sensational prospect he may notch up win number 10 tonight.

Holteender sold for £1,925!

Well if you were in any doubt as to the worth of these virtual horses consider the news from the latest Auction. It was an all new experience for Raceclubs/Getminted with the sale of the 3yr old champion Colt “Holteender” being sold by trainer “Weaver83” and bought by delighted new owner “Andy Hargie Stables” for just over £1925,00. There were some surprising sales for some owners where their horses fetched unexpected prices, in some cases more than doubling their reserves.
Congratulations to all new owners and sellers on your recent Auction bids and successful sales! We just hope that 'Holteender' doesn't turn into a flop like Shaun Wright-Phillips and bottles it! However with Andy Hargie pulling the strings I doubt very much that this will happen!

Silver Flamingo - 8:36 - 11/2

This promises to be an exciting race with many of these horses in excellent form. This former Ken Allan and Golden Glory racing trained horse has the ability to win the 8:36 if things go her way. Now firmly in the Foxy911 stable the experienced 6 year old fillie is approaching the £2,000 mark in terms of prize money earned and enters this race on the back of a fine win in Canada last Saturday. She's also done well on muddy in recent weeks winning on this going just shy of two weeks ago also in Canada. With 25 wins and 54 places under her belt she's certainly one to keep an eye on this evening. Could win, should place.

Cardiff - 8:48 - 14/1

Okay so Cardiff has a special place in my heart with both Liverpool and Munster winning there in recent weeks but in horse terms I believe this 2 year old colt could run well in this race. To be honest it's a poor field even for an Allowance race and Cardiff seems the best of a bad lot. Out of the cotton racing stable the black pearl is looking for his first win having been placed in 5 races in his 13 race career thus far. On the back of two second place finishes he has more experience than many others in this race and I think represents a good each way flutter if he gets a decent rider on board.

Astrometeorology - 9:12 - 7/1

You never really know what you're going to get with this 4 year old fillie, when she's good she's unstopable but when she's bad, boy she's bad. In 85 runs she's clocked up 23 wins and 37 placed finishes but when she's out of the running she just gives up. After an indifferent spell in May she pulled out a fine performance last Thursday finishing second in Australia just a third of a length behind the eventual winner Fort St. Claire. While muddy isn't her favoured going she did win over it a number of weeks back and may create a mini-suprise in Dubai this evening. Each way potential.

Week of destiny

We should find out this week if there is any news on Getminted's live show which ended last Friday. As was explained television budgets and air-time dictate these things but as soon as I hear anything please be assured you will be the first to know.

Anyway on with the Getminted racing top tips for tonight. Please click on read more....

Getminted Too - 8:12 - 18/1

While owners Liveoak stables will want to forget this 4 year old colt's last run he has been in something of a purple patch in the month of May. In 33 runs the black marauder has been victorious in 7 and has also notched up 16 placed finised. The last win came on the 1st of May in Dubai when he romped home all be it in a B division race. Will find the opposition hard to handle tonight but if he runs to his potential he should finish in the places.

Michael Collins - 8:36 - 20/1

Owners ozzy yorks paid just under £50 for this 4 year old colt back on the 21st of May so Michael Collins is still getting used to his new stable. He finished his long and successful career with Lady Harkin stables with a win on the 8th of May and the new owners will hope he settles well in his new virtual surroundings! While his winning ratio of just 12% is nothing to write home about this boy is a placed finish specialist notchiing up places in 48 of his 86 races to date. Fast may not be his favoured going but place numer 49 could come his way at these fantastic long odds.

Sally Ann - 9:12 - 17/2

With 3 wins and 7 placed finishes in her 13 runs to date you can see why this horse is being tipped for great things. We'll be on fast going tonight for this special allowance race in Canada and it was on this going that Sally Ann picked up her first career win back on the 18th of Februay. The epitome of consistency she rarely disappoints and is my favoured each way bet in the 9:12 this evening.

On with the races

Well as the dust settles on the Getminted Live show's demise we have to keep going on the racing front. I will continue to update you on any developments with Getminted and will also let you know how our ex-presenters are faring. Please get in touch with me via the forum and let me know what questions you want answered or issues discussed. Anyway for all tonight's top tips please click on read more......

The Guardian - 8:12 - 64/1

What interesting odds here for this Claire78 stable entry. In this level weight race the 3 year old colt who picked up two wins in the last five races is considered an outsider but may well be worth a small flutter at these massive odds. Total stats for him read 46 runs, 9 wins and 17 placed finishes.May has arguably been his most successful month as a Getminted racehorse and tonight in Hong Kong he's hoping to make it even better. Great each way potential.

Scintillating - 9:12 - 11/1

When you come from a stable who have earned almost £85,000 as Getminted owners you know theres a lot expected of you. Diablo Racing are one of the top stables in the game and they strongly believe this 2 year old colt could be the next big thing. In 9 outings so far Scintillating has recorded 2 victories and 3 placed finishes. At this Special Allowance grade he can get up there to pick up another win tonight but once again to be on the safe side I'll be backing him each way!

Konstantine - 9:55 - 33/1

A bit of a risk here I have to admit. This 3 year old grey colt from the slowstables isn't really tested against A division horses but at the same time recent form suggests he may be able to finally live up to his lofty potential. In his last three races he recorded a win in a claiming race on the 17th of May and picked up two second placed finishes (one in another claimer, the other in a B division race). Often the fact that the wins were in low quality races doesn't improve the horses standing too much but sometimes it really boosts it's virtual confidence! I have a funny feeling that this colt could come good and nick a place to suprise everyone at the track in Australia.

End of Getminted's live show but not the end of Getminted

Well this is a blogspot entry I was rather hoping I wouldn't have to make but as most of you will have heard by now our live show on Sky Channel 850 is coming to an end. Tonight will be the last show after over a year of broadcasting. However Getminted/raceclubs will continue in it's normal on-line format so don't worry all your stables are safe and won't be effected by this latest development.

It's been a fantastic 12 months for all the people involved with the show, our esteemed producers Dave and Gareth as well as all our presenters Ceri, Ces, Andrew, Dan, Mike, Lynsey, Alexis, Dom, Gabe, Ruth, Christo and myself. We developed a very close bond on the show both with each other and with our loyal fantsatic viewers.

Whether the show will get the go ahead again in the future is unknown at present but this blogspot will continue and all information regarding developments will be posted as soon as I hear.

We have been overwhelmed with the response from so many of our owners. Major Chase set up a comments page on his blogspot - majorchase.blogspot.com - and we would love to hear your reactions. Also it would be useful if you could post messages on the owner's forum. By doing so raceclubs will see how gutted many of you are and who knows may come up with an alternative plan.

Thank you so much to all our viewers, I wont name anybody in particular in case I forget someone but you know who you are. For the laughs, support, kindness, wit and friendship thank you all very much for the bottom of our hearts. Take care and keep checking this blogspot for any news as well as the day's top tips.

R.E. Delirium delivers the goods for tipster!

Yes what a great result by this 3 year old fillie in the 9:12 race last night. As tipped on this blogsite she romped home at odds of 9/1. R.E. delirium is just the latest in a long list of recent winners tipped here, the others including Inside man at 20/1, Grey Diva at 18/1, Semtex at 9/1 and Dirty Cash at 6/1. Can the good run continue? Find out tonight on Getminted racing's live show broadcast on Sky Channel 850 between 8 and 10 pm.

Colour me Purple - 8:12 - 22/1

Three wins out of the last four races is a great run of form regardless of the grade and tonight in the first of our televised races Colour me Purple is hoping to keep that sterling run going. In total the 2 year old fillie from the Diablo Racing stable has only been out 6 times but has already earned £76 in her short time on Getminted. This will be her first outing on firm but she's already shown her versatility winning on soft, muddy and yielding. A great each way tip at good odds of 22/1. I'm sure Diablo racing might have a small flutter on their latest superstar.

Ivor Grey One - 8:57 - 30/1

Risky odds here by the bookies. In a field of average quality this 2 year old colt from the Foxy911 stable stands out like a beacon. In 11 runs he may only have won once but he's also picked up six placed finishes and looks to be improving all the time. That solitary victory came in his very last race on the 19th of May. It was also on firm and over the 1 mile 6 furlongs distance as we have in Australia tonight. In great form and with his tail up he could well get up for a place this evening at these attractive long odds.

Divina - 9:12 - 7/1

What a fantastic race this promises to be. A star-studded field will go to the stalls in a bid to cement their place in Getminted racing history as the game's top horses. Divina from the Asturteam stable is priced at 7/1 despite recent form being a tad indifferent. A vastly experienced horse she surpassed the 200 race mark last time out in the UK two days ago and how she would love to start the road to 300 runs off with a win in Australia tonight. In those 201 races she's won in 58 and has been placed 71 times.I'm sure over the past Asturteam has had to turn down big money offers for this 6 year old fillie and looking at her vital statistics you can see why! May be a tad tired and heavy after many recent runs but is still a solid each way bet.

Gandalf 29 going in the right direction!

I see where this relatively new stable is already up to 75 wins. Add to this 251 places and you can see why this owner who's horses run in red, yellow and gold silks is one to watch out for.The top horse in the yard is Visitation who has clocked up 13 wins alone and has earned nearly £500 in her career though she's been around the block with owners! Eyeing up that 100 winners mark is surely gandalf 29's next objective after securing 50 winners for a season last night when fit for nothing romped home in the 9:30 race. He joined as an owner on the 28th of January and is already up to £2,317 in earnings, may the success continue for this excellent owner.

Fantastic Fowler - 8:12 - 15/1

How could I not back this one. Robbie Fowler was and is my favourite Liverpool player of all time and he's not a bad virtual horse either! Owned by fellow scouser supporter Redhalo Racing the 2 year old black colt has been out in 8 competitive races, being placed in 4 of them. The only career win came in a claimer on fast (also tonight's going) back on the 8th of May when he won in Dubai all be it in a small field of 4. Still at these odds and in a race of this standard I feel confident the horse called after the Anfield God can at least secure a placed finish.

Segomo - 8:36 - 9/1

The recent form of this 3 year old colt suggests he'll do well this evening in the first of the Tri-cast challenge races. Out of the Abaddon stable he's experienced that winning feeling on 5 occassions in 19 races and has also been placed 6 times. Eventhough Segomo has only been with Getminted for two months he's already earned £364 for the stable and is one to watch in the future. One of those 5 wins incidentally came on firm (same going as this evening) on the 29th of March in the U.K.

R.E. Delirium - 9:12 - 9/1

What a run this girl is on. Looking for her fourth straight win this evening after gloriously completeting her hat-rick of wins in Dubai two days ago. In total now the 3 year old grade 1 fillie has recorded 9 wins and 16 placed finishes from 37 races. A fantastic stayer and finisher she'll come close tonight if she can handle weight and fitness issues. I actually think she's more likely to get placed but maybe some of you believe she can make it 4 wins on the trot- the choice is yours!

What a liberty - 8:12 - 24/1

Has been very strong in her first two races, picking up a win and a placed finish for the boyle 1972 stable. Though has only raced in maiden races to date she's showed good potential.Won her last race on soft in Austrailia on the 19th of May in a field of 9. In her very first race she ran excellently on fast in Canada and picked up a third placed finish in a full field of 14. At these odds she offers good value for a placed finish.

Semtex - 8:36 - 13/2

One of the top horses in Getminted racing Semtex has earned a total of £1,602 for her respective stables since being bought on the 1st of August last year. In 92 races the 4 year old fillie now in the Christmas stables has won 19 times and been placed in 34 races. She particularly likes running on muddy going and had a fine win on this track in Canada on muddy back on the 29th of April. Lovely odds, lovely horse, lovely result?

Death to the Vile - 9:55 - 36/1

What an interesting race this promises to be. A host of similarly talented horses line up with Senor Frog as favourite. However I believe Death to the Vile has a good chance of at least nicking a place. In 110 races the 5 year old colt has picked up 30 wins, 38 placed finishes and has won many admirers along the way. Recent form has been strong with two wins in his last five races and if he can handle weight and fitness well this evening then he should finish at the right end of the field.

What Irony!!

Wouldn't you know it - on the night of our first year anniversary the gremlins go into overdrive. Technical hitches were to blame but all is back to normal this evening so its service as usual on Sky Channel 850.

Promotional (GB) - 8:36 - 4/1

A horse here with great prospects. In her six races to date she has picked up one win and five placed finishes earning £36 for owners Acme Racing Co since being bought on the 2nd of this month. Was especially unlucky not to add another win to her record in her last race on Friday when she finised half a length behind Cherry Mix in Australia. Solid and strong she could well win tonight and will be good enough to finish in the places at the very least.

Zubin Tecka - 9:36 - 11/1

This 3 year old grey fillie from the Punta stable has a habit of blowing hot and cold. When good she is unstoppable and also favours the fast going which is what she will face tonight in the USA. In 30 career races she has won just twice but has been placed in 11 races. Her best recent performance came on the 3rd of May when she finished 2nd in the USA on fast going in another Allowance race. Each way potential.

Perseus (USA) - 9:48 - 10/1

Pure class is how many describe Perseus and when you watch the Astec Racing stable horse run you can see exactly what they mean. A superb performer the 4 year old colt has a win to run ratio of 41%- thats 14 wins in 34 runs-. Add to this 11 placed finishes and it will come as no suprise that Perseus has earned £560 in 5 and a half months. As well as this he has a good record on fast going with three of his career wins coming on this going. Could win, should place.

GETMINTED'S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

It was exactly a year ago today that Getminted racing (formely known as the Paddock) began broadcasting to Sky viewers. You may remember initially the presenters were not on screen but just talking over the races. As 2005 moved on you were lucky or unlucky enough to see us guys as Getminted moved to a new London studio! Over the twelve months the game has grown with new owners joining us daily. We hope you're enjoying the show and want to say thanks for all your interaction, texts, calls, e-mails etc. It's you who make our show what it is. Please post your messages regarding our 1 year Anniversary on the Owners chat room section of the forum and Dan Wheeler and I will read them out tonight. Thanks again guys.

George Washington - 8:36 - 8/1

To be honest I'm not normally a lover of U.S. Presidents but I think George Washington could well rewrite the constitution in this level weight race for 4 to 7 year old colts. This black beauty from the racing slim stable has picked up 12 wins and 15 places in his 38 races to date and has a fine record on fast going.Indeed 4 of those 12 wins came on fast going and many feel this horse could even win tonight. The 4 year old colt has a good record in Level weight races and is a great each way candidate this evening.

Al Pacino - 8:48 - 24/1

Fantastic name here for a handy horse. This 2 year old grey colt from the Stato stable has been placed in all of his four races to date but has never been good enough to pick up his first win. Three second place finishes tells the story of a fine young talent on the up. He was especially unlucky not to win in his very first race on the 7th of May when he finished a third of a length behind the winner Cuban Pete. I feel he could land a big surpise tonight but the more cautious of you may decide to go each way.

Sexy Beast - 9:55 - 13/2

Well why not! Rumours that this 6 year old colt from the Punting Paul stable was called after me were greatly exaggerated!A solid old performer he's been out 106 times in competitive races. He has a poor record of 12 wins in that time but Sexy Beast also has had 43 placed finishes. In his last race two days ago on good in the UK he was unlucky not to notch up win number 13 when he was pipped on the line by Young Kancha in a field of 8. In a tight field its going to be difficult for Sxy Beast but I#ve a feeling tonight could be his night.

Sensational Inside man produces one of blogsites biggest ever wins!

What about that victory by Inside man on Wednesday night. At 20/1 its one of the longest priced winners I've had and I have to say it FELT GOOD!The 2 year old colt cut through the rest of the field in the 8:57 to record his first ever win. By the way can I express my sympathies to all Arsenal fans. You came close to doing it but Barca are some side.Hope you're not as moody as Thierry Henry and that you're looking forward to another weekend of Getminted racing action. Remember tomorrow night is our one year anniversary show so please text in. FOR ALL TONIGHT'S TOP GETMINTED RACING TIPS PLEASE CLICK ON READ MORE.....

Volcanic Tomato - 18/1 - 8:48

I'm not backing this 3 year old colt because he was called after me but I do feel he has a good chance of nicking a place in this race. His history over muddy has been fruitful and despite somehwat of a barren spell recently I fancy his chances. Has recorded two victories and 11 placed finishes in his 3 months with us and I think another place could be on the cards in the 8:48 race.

Punk Rocker Queen - 30/1 - 8:57

Won in some style in her last race back on the 12th of May. In 22 outings the 2 year old fillie from the Got your Racing stable has picked up 3 wins and 10 placed finishes but the records indicates she likes the muddy going. A strong sturdy performer she has fine ability and I think is over-priced for this race. Good each way potential.

Crack the Whip - 30/1 - 9:48

Has turned things around in the last week or so. After a run of poor results the 5 year old colt from the ashes racing stable has got back to winning ways and picked up his 9th win yesterday in Hong Kong. That race was on good going (same going as tonight) and over the same distance on the same track. Fitness and weight wise two wins on the hop may be difficult but a place at this excellent price is very possible. Looking for career win number ten he has already earned £435 and should add to that tonight one way or the other.

Dirty Cash delivers with fantastic win!

We've been going through something of a purple patch recently when it comes to predicting winners - Dirty Cash being the latest to keep the flag flying with an excellent victory last night in the 9:55 race.At 6/1 he was a tasty price and the 2 year old colt is certainly one to keep an eye on in the future. FOR ALL TONIGHT'S TOP GETMINTED RACING TIPS PLEASE CLCIK ON READ MORE.....

Cruachan - 8:12 -8/1

My only concern with this tip is that this 3 year old colt from the Stewart M stable is very inexperienced over soft going. Still he has shown enough on other terrains to suggest he could do well here this evening in what can be best summed up as a very average field. In 16 runs so far the Black Cruachan has picked up a couple of wins and 8 placed finishes. A win and two places in the last five races show the talent is there under the surface. A good run should guarantee some joy as he aims to increase earnings which currently stand at £101.

Inside man - 8:57 - 20/1

From the Liverpool supporting Red Halo racing stable this boy has come close to victory twice and like Munster in the Heineken Cup will be hoping to make it third time lucky tonight. He was especially unlucky not to pick up a win on the 6th of May in his first ever race when he was pipped by less than half a length by Gigli's star. In a field of newcomers the 2 year old should have a good chance of at least claiming a place. Good each way potential here.

Shades of Naples - 9:36 - 15/1

Tidy odds here for a horse who has proven his worth over and over again. In 35 races since being bought by previous owner Efisio on the 27th of September last year he's recorded 8 wins and 15 placed finishes. Now owned by the boomerang stable he's been a tad inconsisitent of late but is expected to run well this evening. Firm is one of the 4 year old's favoured goings and he could well get up to claim the win here though backing him each way is probably the wiser move. A great horse who can on his day beat the best.

A Joke to celebrate Tanky's return!

Yes I read on Major Chase's blogsite that Tanky was about to return to Getminted racing and I thought in his honour I'd post a wee joke!Tanky had 55 wins and 168 placed finishes in his 607 runs before he took a break. One of the most popular owners on Getminted we look forward to seeing you soon Tanky.
Q: What did the horse say when it fell?

A: "I've fallen and I can't giddyup!"
-Submitted by: Bobby, Age 10

Fey Cloud - 8:57 - 9/1

In an electric run of form at the moment this Abaddon trained grey fillie has won in two of her six raxes to date and has also picked up four placed finishes. However this will be the largest field in which Fey Cloud has run so hopefully she can handle the added pressure to add to the £42 already earned for the stable. Won once and has been placed in two of her three races on fast so the going certainly won't be a problem this evening. An interesting race this and I expect Fey Cloud to nick a place if not a win.

Montresor - 9:36 - 42/1

I'm sure Butler's Yard believe this horse is worth more than 42/1 in price! With all horses in this race level in weight the 6 year old colt may well be good enough to spring a suprise. One win and two placed finishes in the last five races indicates the Chestnut coloured charge will be in a good position to challenge this evening. His last win came on soft going (same as we'll have in this race this eve) in Hong Kong on the 3rd of May. All together Montresor has 12 wins and 20 placed finishes from 68 races. Should be good enough to get a place.

Dirty Cash - 9:55 - 6/1

I fully expect that this youngster will feature strongly in the last televised race of th evening after a steady start to his career. Owned by the Heinz stable he comes from good stock and will be looking to add to the placed finish earned in his first race back on the 23rd of April on good in Hong Kong. He showed good promise that day and in a field of this quality you always have to fancy a horse trained by as high quality an owner as Heinz.

Sweet success in a classic final!

It's was an honour to be at Cardiff yesterday for one of the greatest F.A. Cup Finals of all time. What a game. I really did feel sorry for the West Ham United side and their fantastic, fantastic supporters but I think Liverpool just shaded it in terms of play. And what about Steven Gerrard, how Sven doesn't organise the English side around him like Liverpool do I'll never know. Anyway my bubbling joy aside lets get back to the ggs on Getminted racing. FOR ALL TONIGHT'S TOP TIPS PLEASE CLICK ON READ MORE....

Highcliff Nab - 8:48 - 24/1

This 4 year old colt from the Stable TSIN can either delight or dismay and for his efforts has been entered in a few claimers recently. Bought on the 3rd of August last year by the zit squeezer stable he amazingly had 6 different owners in 5 months to December each yard unsure about how to fully nurture his true potential. In 83 competitive runs he's notched up 7 wins and 26 placed finishes earning almost £500 along the way.Ran very well last time out on Friday when he finished just over half a length behind the winner Dubawi(IRE) in Dubai on fast. Each way potential strong here at these long long odds.

Pizza Raven - 8:57 - 9/1

A really handy charge here out of the Punting Paul stable the 3 year old has a great chance of landing a win in this race in Hong Kong. While he has never raced over soft before he's shown a high level of versatility in his short career creating success on a host of different goings. Comes into this race on the back of a fine win in Dubai where he finished well ahead in a field of 9. Has won twice and been placed in 6 of his 11 races to date and will be a real handful for the rest of the field this evening. A win possible, a place likely.

News Alert - 9:55 - 33/1

A week ago the career of News Alert looked like it was coming to an end. The 2 year old colt was waiting for execution day but at the last minute new owners Double Silk stepped into the breach to save the day. This boy has only ever raced in claimers and this will be his first competitive race . In the 6 claimers, he's finished in first once and has also been placed in the other 5. While the step up will represent a big challenge for this boy we wish him all the best and I feel at these long odds he has a wonderful chance of picking up a place.

Shergar is back.......... in the 21:24 LTT

Looks like Shergar has entered the Lucky Text Tip race tonight and has pretty decent form too. It's quite an open field tonight however.

Others to look out for include the 2nd favourite; Byelobog from Abaddon and Salamino from SMART for a possible each way place.

FA Cup, Scottish Cup and loads of horse racing!!

Up the Hammers I say - seeing as most of the Getminted team are off the the FA Cup Final, we've got the Liverpool fans: Ceri & Graham vs the West Ham supporters: Ces & Dan Wheeler. But let's not forget tonights racing..............

The first race of tonights TRICAST at 20:36 is a very experienced field. However, I don't think it's going to be an easy one to pick tonight. Magic Injection from Ruxton Racing at odds of 24/1 looks a good each way at least, with fine recent form and regular placings. And Rainbow Islands from BHAFC at 54/1 may be a surprise outsider.

Liverpool to win in style just like mayfairbabe 304 last night!

Well on the eve of this year's F.A. Cup final can Liverpool win in the same way mayfairbabe 304 did last night!? In another good night for this tips page the 15/2 3 year old fillie from the mayfairbabe stable romped home in the 8:12 so hopefully you took my advice and backed it at this nice price. I've got my Liverpool shirt and scarf ready for the trip to Cardiff so hopefully I'll be celebrating tomorrow night! I'm sure most of you will be backing West ham United but they've waited 26 years for a major cup, whats another year???!!! Best of luck to both sides. For tonight's top Getminted racing tips please click on read more.....

Aconcagua - 8:36 - 16/1

Well this is really a hard one to call. Aconcagua is a frustrating 4 year old fillie who like most women blows hot and cold from one day to the next!!!! When at her peak she's fantastic as her 8 wins in 37 runs clearly shows but all too often a different Aconcagua goes to the stalls. If we see the focussed horse out in this race I feel confident she can nick a place at the very least. Owned by the El Zorro stable her last win came on muddy in a small field(same going as this evening's race) on the 15th of April in the USA. Perhaps not good enough to win but a place is highly possible.

Young Saf - 9:12 - 13/1

Another fillie who can either be brilliant or awful. In her 22 runs to date Young saf has picked up 7 wins and 8 placed finishes but alot will depend on who is riding her this evening. The 3 year old hasn't picked up a win since the 23rd of March. While solid in the placings that elusive 8th win is within reach. Young Saf had a fine win on fast on the 17th of March and a similar run could generate something from this race for 2-7 year old fillies. Each way potential.

RF Memorandum - 9:48 - 26/1

Excellent odds for a horse on the brink of big things. He may be without a competitive career win but his 3 placed finishes in 4 races and one claimer win show he has the ability to become a solid performer on getminted.Owners Music girl seem unconvinced and entered RF Memorandum in a claimer in his last race. He answered with a good win out of a field of 7 in the USA on fast. Likes the 2 mile distance and has a real chance of getting a place at 26/1. A result here would set up a great weekend.

After last night I thought it would be nice to say a word on the petong stable!

Yes it must have been hard last night for the petong stable who are avid Middlesbrough supporters. Steve Mclaren's side who had been the most exciting team in the Uefa Cup this year went down 4-0 to Sevilla of Spain. However on the racing scene petong continue to pile up the winners. In 2,872 races since joining Getminted racing on the 3rd of August 2003 petong has had 342 winners and 956 placed finishes with it's horses pulling in £23,099 in winnings. Best of luck to you on the gallops mate and hope you continue to be one of the most succesful owners on the site.

mayfairbabe 304 - 8:12 - 15/2

With a win to run ratio of 67% this 3 year old fillie from the mayfairbabe stable has really burst onto the Getminted racing scene with a bang. Bought on the 27th of March she has already notched up a whopping £250 in earnings from just 9 races. From those nine she has won in 6 and been placed in 2. While fast going isn't her favourite type of underfoot she did win on fast on the 22nd of April in Canada in a small field of 4 and despite being very busy recently will be confident of doing well in the 8:12 race tonight.

Galloping Gentry - 8:36 - 9/1

A star in the making here this 2 year old colt seems to have what it takes to make it on Getminted. Has only been out in 4 competitive races (none on good going) and has won once and been placed in 2. Was also a winner in a claimer back on the 10th of April. Well rested since his last race on the 2 nd of May he should get up to nip a place in the 8:36 at nice odds. Owned by the Red Rope Race Yard they'll be hoping for a win here and a win for Liverpool in Cardiff on Saturday!

Song of Nefertiti - 9:24 - 58/1

I saw this newcomer win on her first ever race last Tuesday night and am amazed with the odds for her tonight. Boyle1972 is really on to a winner with this black 2 year old and I'm sure may have a small flutter of her at massive odds of 58/1. The win two days ago came on fast going all be it on a shorter distance but Song of Nefertiti is a realistic each way chance in this race. With 266 wins as a stable boyle1972 knows how to get the best out of his horses and will fancy his charge's chances in the Lucky text tip race.

What a win by Golden boy!

As it said in the stars Golden Boy won the 8:12 last night in terrific fashion at nice odds of 12/1. It's another fine win for this blogsite and with Kamarinskaya taking a place at 15/2 it was a good night all in all. But if it was good for me then it was wonderful for the McCann stable who scooped the £250 in free credits available after predicting the winners of all three races in the Tri-cast challenge. His name was picked out of a hat with the Jamacian stable losing out, however being the gent that he is McCann donated £50 of his credits to the Jamacian stable in a great gesture. Also congrats to Owl Flyer who won the Lucky text tip and confirmed that Finland have never reached the World Cup Finals! For all tonight's top Getminted racing tips, please click on read more.....

Spoof - 24/1 - 8:12

Last night Spoof was sensational winning in style in the UK. It was the 10th win of the 5 year old colt's 67 race career and displayed once again what a fine horse he is. While he normally avoids running on the good going he did have a win on good back on the 10th of October also in the UK. Has no weight disadvantage in this race and should run well if fitness is at a healthy level.

Silk Moth - 9:12 - 22/1

In excellent form Silk Moth has the ability to win this race and I just can't understand these long, long odds. While he's low on experience he's high on adrenalin having won 4 and been placed in 2 of his 7 races so far. On the back of two wins on the trot Silk Moth has been too hot to handle for others in the past couple of weeks and could be another handful in the 9:12 tonight. His last win 5 days ago came on muddy so the Gus Wing stable won't be too worried about the going. A likely each way prospect.

Miss de River - 9:48 - 13/2

The long wait continues for Miss de River! When is the 2 year old fillie going to register her first win for the Catlikething stable? She's now had 5 placed finishes out of 6 races and was especially unlucky not to win on the 1st of May down under when she finished second by half a length to Metal girl. Not a great field in this race and she'll fancy her chances of pulling off a win. However the more cautious of you may opt for an each way punt.

Goldenboy - 8:12 - 12/1

This 3 year old colt from the ghostlyfast stable has a solid record on firm and will be looking for at least a placed finish tonight but a long awaited victory is not beyond him. It's been almost a month now since the horse's last win on fast on the 12th of April.Since then he's picked up a few places but hasn't been able to add to it's 11 wins. I've a feeling Goldenboy could do well in this race especially as many have poor records on firm.

Made in Berlin - 8:36 - 12/1

I can't understand these odds but Im not complaining. 'Made in Berlin' owned by the Sovereign Stable is a fine colt looking to make it 6 wins from 18 starts. The 3 year old has also picked up 6 placed finishes along the way. This boy has only been out once since the 26th of April, it turned out to be a poor run on good in the UK. However if we scratch that bad performance and look to his second last race we see why he has the ability to do very well in the 8:36 this evening. On fast going over 1 mile and in a full field in an A and B bracket race he stormed home winning with ease. In similar conditions in the USA this evening we could see a repeat performance.

Kamarinskaya - 9:12 - 15/2

Well all eyes in this race will be on Umpossible from the Thorarin stable who is aiming to make it 5 wins from 5 starts. However the field is dotted with excellent horses including the 15/2 shot from the Coolmore operation's stable 'Kamarinskaya'which is the name of a Russian traditional dance! Anyway the 2 year old fillie is aiming to make it three back-to-back wins (total stats read 10 runs, 4 wins, 4 placed finishes). On the 4th of May she won in style on yielding in Australia and will return to the same track and conditions this evening to mount a new charge. Could win, should place.

Can you be the next top Getminted owner?

Yes it's one of two questions on everyone's lips. The other is have you been included in the England Squad?!!! I got a call from Sven this morning but explained Im Irish, I dont think he could understand me so I hung up. My postman and local Lib Dem councillor are in the squad so best of luck to them. I heard a rumour bryan1969 and Nolan had also recieved calls but turned down the chance preferring instead to watch Getminted- wise choice!!! Anyway click on read more for tonight's getminted racing tips..

In a short sharp series of tips I think the following have a good chance of getting something out of tonight's races:

Pretty flower - 9:12 - 15/2
Out of the butler's yard this one has two wins and a second place finish in it's last five so form is strong.

Secretary of war - 9:36 - 28/1
Don't know if this is a reference to Tony Blair, if so I appreciate the humour! In a good run at present despite a 7th place finish last time out, could get up to nick a place.

The blogg - 9:55 - 11/2
My computer won't allow me not to back this one!!! 2 wins and 2 seconds in last five races, enough said!

Super victory for Amadeus Mozart!

Yes well done to the Gus Wing stable who picked up another win last night as Amadeus Mozart romped home in the 8:36 race. The result was predicted here and hopefully the winning run can continue. For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please click on read more.......

Lady elle- 8:24 -7/1

Tasty odds here for a third favourite. Lady elle has picked up a massive 10 wins from 18 starts with 5 places as well for good measure.Superb in Level weight races she's won in three and finished second in the other of her four outings at this level. Beaten into second in her last race by Catinthehat last Thursday but still an excellent horse. I wouldn't be suprised if she won here for the Andy Hargie stable but as I always say you may be safer with an each way punt.!

Tayasu Broker - 9:12 - 46/1

After another wonder spell by this Diako Racing 3 year old colt the bookies have given a long price for Tayasu Broker because of his weight. At 128 lbs he's the joint heaviest horse in the field but he's by no means alot heavier than his competitors this evening. In 19 runs he's won in 6 and been placed in 5 but the crucial factor is that 5 of those 6 wins have come in his last 6 races! All since the 20th of April. Worth an each way flutter here at these long odds.

Goodison Spark - 9:55 - 20/1

As a Liverpool fan I always feel bad about backing horses called after our auld enemies across Stanley Park but I have to say I think 'Goodison Spark' really has a great chance of pulling off a suprise in the last televised race of the evening. At just 79lbs she's the lightest horse in the field and recent form suggests she could challenge tonight. In her last race at this level on the 29th of April the 4 year old fillie sinished less than a length behind Gold Label. That was on muddy going as tonight's race will be so I'd suggest having a flutter on this boyle1972 grey fillie, she could do teh business or at worst grab a place!

Fun and frolics on frantic Friday!

Why does every Friday feel like the first one ever!? Everyones in top form and the sun is shining, could things get any better? The answer is YES! Tonight on getminted racing we've some decent horses on offer at good odds. Reading the forums recently I see theres an element of discontent amongst some owners with regard to the jockey factor. The aim was to decrease the random factor but many feel its done the opposite. We will continually inform raceclubs of your reaction however they too have access to the forums and hopefully will act correspondingly. Where possible stick with us guys, the potential for big earnings is there and it would be a shame to miss out. FOR ALL TONIGHT'S GETMINTED RACING TIPS PLEASE CLICK ON READ MORE......

Amadeus Mozart - 8:36 - 9/2

This 3 year old colt from the Gus Wing stable adores these Level Weight races, just look at the results of the last Six! 3 wins and 3 placed finishes! In 29 runs to date Amadeus has recorded 10 wins and 14 placed finishes earning £364 in total. Previously of the racing slim stable he had a major blip in his last race on yielding in Australia yesterday finishing 9th. However this seems like simply a bad day at the office rather than a complete fall in form. I think this boy can win tonight but each way may be the safest option.

Tweaks - 8:48 - 36/1

Well well well. 36/1! Great odds for a horse whose won two of her last three races. This 7 year old fillie is returning to top form and a good run tonight could guarantee a strong finish over the good going in the UK. Normally runs over 6 furlongs to a mile but is trying the shortest distance possible this evening. Total stats read 84 runs, 15 wins and 33 placed finishes. Won when last out on good going back on the 28th of April in a small field of 5 in Hong Kong. Fancy Tweaks to sneak a place.

Hawaiian Sound - 8:57 - 42/1

I'd be tempted to back this horse at a good price even if its hind legs were tied together! In sensational form he wins for fun and is looking to make it a hatrick of wins at the track in Canada this evening. In 115 runs he's won 30 times and has been placed in 40. With earnings of £1,807 you can see why this 5 year old is one of the top getminted racing horses. It may be a difficult line up tonight but Hawaiian Sound is well capable of beating all before him. And all this as a 5 year old, Diablo must count his blessings every time he sees this boy run. Each way must be the way to go on this one at very favourable odds.

Even more reasons to get minted!

Getminted in conjunction with raceclubs have initiated some new reward schemes for 500 and 50 wins. All the information can be seen if you go to 'race post' on the left hand side of the getmintedracing home page and then click on 'news'. For many the 50 wins and especially the 500 wins mark may seem like a long way off but all it takes is one or two high quality horses to get you on your way. Remember though the majority of your success is down to clever training and race nominations. You can do it! For all tonight's top getminted racing tips simply click on read more.....

Fat Buddha - 8:12 - 25/1

Well this 2 year old colt is going to be busy this week with three races penciled in for the next three days. He's shown in the past that when focussed he can cause problems for others and in 6 races he's won once and been placed twice. He also won a claimer on fast on the 30th of April which is a good sign. Bought by the whitewidow stable from the Redcliffe stable in a claimer he has the potential to get a place tonight at these massive odds.

Karmaz - 8:48 - 42/1

What an interesting race this promises to be with many jaded horses taking to the field. While there are some higher quality horses in this field many have been very busy while this 3 year old colt from the Pro Ev Racing stable hasn't been out since the 29th of April. In 50 runs he's crossed the winning line first on 8 trips and has been placed in 18 racking up earnings of £223. A fan of muddy and this distance he'll go close tonight if he runs well and could get placed in this medium sized field in Dubai, a track made for his style.

Evo III - 9:24 - 15/2

With two wins and a placed finish in her three races to date the stats look very strong for Evo III. Closer inspection shows they were all small fields and theres no doubt but that tonight's race will be her first real test. Its a school of hard knocks on getminted racing and often a horse used to lower quailty races with small fields gets stage fright in a race of this level. That said I've seen enough of this fillie to make me think her success so far wasn't a flash in the pan and she could take the win this evening. Go each way for safety but dont be suprised if this Mafews trained horse continues on winning ways.

Remember if you're not having the best of luck in the sales ring theres always the auctions!

.... and the dates and times for the Auctions in May are as follows: Auctions for May will open on Thursday 18 May 2006 @ 10:00am GMT. Enter your horses before closing on Saturday 20 May 2006 @ 12:00pm GMT, and place your bids before Sunday 21 May 2006 @ 21:00 GMT.

Well done also to Crest of a wave who picked up a place as predicted at 18/1. A great price and a much needed result. For all tonight's top getminted racing tips simply click on read more.....

Helioncentric - 8:12 - 7/1

It's a significant step up for the 3 year old fillie from the Meat stable to be running alongside A division horses but she's still capable of doing well in this company. In 23 career runs so far Helioncentric has recorded 4 wins and 14 placed finishes. The last of those four wins came on yielding (the going for tonight's race) in Hong Kong over 7 furlongs back on the 12th of April. In a full field she won by over a length and a similar performance today would be welcome. A win is possible but a place is more likely.

August Sixth - 8:48 - 44/1

Over the past two days this horse from the alice cartier stable has recorded a fine win and a second placed finish. The win came on fast in the USA yesterday when the 5 year old colt was carrying just 105 lbs. Today however he comes in as the heaviest horse in the field at 127 lbs. Often great horses can handle the extra weight but fitness levels can be difficult to deal with. Still at this price August Sixth is great value and if he gets a good start in this sprint he could register a place.

Spaniard (ESP) - 9:24 - 24/1

They'll be dancing in the streets of Madrid if this 2 year old colt can pull off a suprise win in the Lucky text tip and Getminted Monthly qualifier race at 9:24 tonight. Coming in with great form he's won in 1 and been placed in 7 of his 8 races to date. This level of consistency leads me to believe he'll give as good as he gets tonight and I predict another placed finish here for the horse from the Maximas stable.

Producer double-act - a treat in store!

Regular viewers of Getminted racing's live show on Sky Channel 850 will know by now of the legends Gareth Wild and Dave Lightfoot! Both are producers turned presenters and will gleefully hold your hand as they present this evening. Gareth of the long hair delivers in a direct informative style while Dave the jolly old Londoner likes to go with the flow. Together a lethal combination! Anyway tune in and chat to the guys via text on 078 35055066, I know they would love to hear from all owners especially the ladies! FOR TONIGHT'S TOP GETMINTED RACING TIPS PLEASE CLICK ON READ MORE......

Pile in on it - 8:26 - 6/1

Fantastic odds here for a second favourite. Pile in on it from the Doofus stables has an excellent record on good going and will look forward to tonight's challenge. In 89 runs the 5 year old colt has picked up 22 wins and 29 placed finishes. The most recent of those wins came on soft back on the 22nd of April in Hong Kong. However the most significant result to consider was when he last ran on good going on the 31st of March. In a strong field of 13 he romped home in deadly style. Has a great chance of winning though the bookies feel certain that Grand Wizard wont be beaten. I think a win is possible and a placed finish is certain.

Belinda Carlisle - 8:57 - 18/1

Will heaven be a place on earth for owners Meat tonight? Will our old friend be drawing circles in the sand in honour of his 3 year old fillie Belinda Carlisle?!!! I think this excellently named girl can do well despite these long odds. In 14 races to date shes won in 3 and been placed in 8. Recent form has been solid after the move from small stable races to C division runs. Is well used to this distance and wont have a problem with the soft going either. A good start is crucial for Belinda Carlisle, if she gets it she'll be singing all the way to the line! Each way shot.

Crest of a wave - 9:36 - 18/1

Another 18/1 shot with a chance this evening. Crest of a wave has been strong recently but there are still question marks regarding the 4 year old fillie's prospects on soft going. Coming into this race on the back of a win in a small field of 3 in Dubai she's progressively becoming more consistent and will benefit from a one week rest. If she can mix it up with the stronger horses in the opening four furlongs she may have a chance of nicking a place but a win is still a bridge too far I fear.

Wrap up your Bank Holiday weekend with a prized win on Getminted!

Well there you are! Hope you're having a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend wherever you are. I know most won't be too happy about going back to work tomorrow but a good win on the getminted ggs would make it alot easier Im sure. Also owners the tri-cast still stands at £300. Despite two favourites winning tri cast challenge races last night it again went a begging. So do you know your horses, could you do with £300 in credits for your stable???? IF SO GET INVOLVED! For all tonight's top getminted racing tips simply click on read more....

Grand Empire - 8:12 - 10/1

I'm sure our old friend Major Chase will have a bob or two on his 4 year old colt here! Grand Empire had a fantastic March and also started April off with a victory. In 39 runs he's won in 12 and been placed in 13 showing just what an excellent purchase he was. Won on good going (which is what we'll have for this race tonight) on the 27th of March in the UK and also likes this distance. Could win, but if not so sure go each way.

Terrifying beauty - 8:36 - 20/1

Excellent name for a horse and excellent odds. At 20/1 this Coolmore Operations horse should be strong enough to run much better than the long odds suggest. Very experienced it's been out 90 times, winning in 11 and being placed in 29. Last win for Terrifying beauty was on the 23rd of April on firm in the UK. Loves the spotlight and is a regular runner on our live televised races. Could be good enough for a place this evening.

Arrivederci (ITA) - 9:24 - 13/1

Wow! This 2 year old colt is a really hot prospect. In just 4 races already he's turned many heads and may get up to claim some glory in the Lucky Text tip race tonight (though the favourite always seems to win this one!). Stormed to victory in his debut outing on fast in Canada over 2 miles. In exactly the same conditions tonight many shrewd punters might throw a few quid behind this 'smart' trained colt and an each way punt is advisable.
