Spare a thought for Kieran Fallon!

After losing a recent appeal to race in Britian Irish jockey Kieran Fallon must be cursing his luck after the wonderful horse Hurricane Run's dramatic win at Ascot. Fallon of course was due to ride the horse but the courts ruled this would not be allowed. A glorious reunion for the prix de l'Arc de Triumph is now set as horse and jockey meet again. Still Fallon must now be wishing he hadn't let his bad boy image go as far as it did.

Best of luck to everyone in this weekend's finals!

Yes it's a particularly busy weekend on getminted racing with some big winning pots up for grabs.Best of luck to everyone and remember its not the winning that matters but the taking part (yeah right!!!).

For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please click on read more.....

Shark Attack - 8:12 - 9/2

With one win out of one run this derekw10 trained 2 year old fillie doesn't know what it feels like to trail in to the finishing line behind another horse!Interestingly despite her minimal level of experience the current owner paid £36 to boyle1972 for Shark Attack at auction to bring this youngster to the stable and the word on the virtual ground is that she is one to watch out for. I think she'll run well this evening and is a solid each way punt.

Strong as Oot - 8:48 - 13/2

Well this is Strong as Oot's first ever run on fast going but the two year old colt from the aforementioned boyle 1972 stable is desperate for a win after coming so close on three previous occassions. With four placed finished out of five that elusive victory cant be too far away and the trainer will be hoping that the three boyle1972 horses in the field can help each other when it comes to the crunch. Each way potential.

Bridewell taxis - 9:12 - 11/
1

it'll be interesting to see this evening how this colt fares in a level weight race as he's never raced in one before. Indeed most of the 3 years old's successes came in B division races so he will have it all to do in Austraila. With 7 wins and 11 placed finishes out of 34 races the pedigree is good though earnings should be higher than the £265 already banked. Expect him to add to that this evening but I think a win is beyond him.

whats the difference between a maiden juvenile c-1 and a maiden juvenile c-4 ?

I just thought it would be useful to display a recent posting on the forums by the hardcoreharry stable. He asked the following question and got a very well explained answer from the legendary Lord Jinxy. Thanks for this Lj:

Q: whats the difference between a maiden juvenile c-1 and a maiden juvenile c-4 ?

A: 1) The c-1 and c-4 are only telling you which "instance" your horse is in. Generally, but not nessasarily, all instances will draw similar strength fields.
If you find a maiden-G1 race, this is ONLY open to horses that are graded, whereas a normal maiden (with no G1 after it) is open to ungraded horses as well as graded ones. Therefore the likelihood is that an "ungraded maiden" will have more of a chance of containing lower ability horses.

2) As for the Novice/Progress difference. There isn't really much of A difference.
If you feel your horse is a low grade one, then you can run in either whilst it has only one win. When it gets two wins, I'd stick to the progressive, as the extra six pounds carried in the novice would be equivallent to one length lost.

3) If your horse is a top end grade one, enter him in the G1 races if you can afford it, as stakes are higher, but prizes are too.
If he is low grade one, stick to the cheaper ungraded races, where he will be more competative.

4) Finally. Remember to move your horse up to the next level of racing (Progress-C Division- A+B Division) as soon as he's eligable, as you will keep his weights down.
And don't forget, a losing streak works in your favour too. It lowers your horses weigh in the Allowance races. (Benchmark for these 80lbs or less for fillies, 105lbs or less for colts).

DJ Mally 719696 - 8:24 - 18/1

Amazingly in 17 runs this 2 year old grey fillie has never raced on fast before. After a shaky start to her career DJ Mally 719696 has entered a better run of form all be it in low quality races. She'll have it all to do here tonight but with a few places under her belt in the last few races she seems to have turned the corner. In those 17 runs shes never had a win but has notched up 5 placed finishes. Won't win tonight but may just do enough to nail a place.

River Queen - 8:36 - 8/1

Loves the yielding going and owners Butlers Yard will fancy their old girl to do well in Australia this evening. With 24 wins and 51 placed finishes from her 164 competitive runs the 7 year old has earned £2,067 since joining getminted racing on the 1st of August 2004. As she comes closer to her two year anniversary she'll be eager to get up to 25 wins and may just do it tonight after a strong run recently in level weight races. Good each way value here.

Handsome Ridge - 9:24 - 13/2

This Muggins Racing trained colt always fares well on firm going and after a win in his last race the 5 year old will be high on confidence. In 109 trips he's emerged victorious in 19 and has also been placed in 41. Bought by Muggins racing for £100 from the Catlikething stable on the 25th of June Handsome Ridge is settling into his fifth career stable and if he runs well tonight he could well enter the 20 win bracket but a placing is probably more likely.

New stable 'Oscaroo' on the verge of 50 winners!

They may only be with getminted for something like 15 weeks but already the Oscaroo stable are just two wins away from the significant 50 winner landmark. Housing 17 horses the stable whose jockeys run in blue and white silks with a blue cross have earned £1,197 in winnings and if the current trend continues the 100 winners mark is only months away. The stable has been extremley clever and shrewd so far picking up top horses Angelica II and Al Tayyib in claimers for £8.70 each - to put this into context the latter was once sold for £527 when a younger horse - still great business! Other horses to watch in the Oscaroo stable include Grace Alice amongst many others.

Donnie Darko - 8:12 - 60/1

I refuse to believe that this Gus Wing trained horse is so out of his depth in this race that he deserves a 60/1 odds tag! While weight will undoubtedly be a major factor in this race Donnie Darko should be okay finishing off the pace in his last race. With 11 wins and 32 placed finishes in his 74 races so far he knows all about success against the odds and I firmly belive he has a good chance of nicking a place in Canada tonight if things go his way.

Gran Turismo - 8:36 - 5/1

You'd have to fancy Gran Turismo to run well tonight as he's already had sensational stats on the fast going. The speed merchant has won three and been placed in one of his last five races including a race on fast in the USA five days ago. As he attempts an identical performance stateside this evening he'll have to deal with fatigue having run for the last 23 days straight! Overall has 17 wins and 28 placed finishes to his name and should add to one of those stats this evening.

The Ryles II - 9:55 - 40/1

Comes into this race on the back of an excellent win on fast in Canada four days ago. Total stats read 11 runs, 2 wins and 3 placed finishes and owners Liveoak Stables will be hoping the 2 year old colt can add to the £175 already banked for the stable. One of the few entrants in this race to win in his last three he could suprise all by nicking a placed finish tonight.

Boyle1972 clinches the 500 winner mark!

It's not often I take my hat off to an Everton supporter but fair dues to Boyle1972 he well and truly deserves great praise! For the stable who joined us on the 25th of May last year has taken just over a year to register his 500th winner. In the blue and yellow colurs of his beloved club boyle 1972 has used all his experience and knowledge to nurture his horses and bring the best out of them. While Death March may be the star of the stable its taken a yard effort to hit the magical 500 winners mark and at the time of writing the yard is now up to 503 wins. With total earnings of £13,712 its easy to see why this is one of the best stables in the business.

Lady Elle - 8:24 - 30/1

What an open field this is. If you're thinking about having a flutter this evening then this is the race to do it in as the second favorite is a massive 9/1! I reckon a wise option might be to have a few quid on this 3 year old fillie from the Clan stable whose been excellent since her first run out six months ago. In 35 races Lady Elle's clocked in with 14 wins (40% win to run ratio) and 13 placed finishes. In a great run of form at the moment confidence will be high, but will the weight be also? Worth checking out if you fancy a good weekend!

Allez Milord (Fr) - 8:36 - 13/1

This dallas1 trained 2 year old rarely finishes outside of the top three and is many a punters tip for glory in the 8:36 race from Canada. Very fond of the muddy going he won on this type of ground in Dubai five days ago defeating a field of 11. With career earnings of £350 he's tipped to become a big star in a stable which has now ammassed an incredible 2,456 winners. Allez Milord has a great chance as an each way punt unless he headbutts one of the Italian horses in the field!

Feel the Fors - 8:57 - 14/1

After a poor start to July Feel the Fors has started to get his act together with two places and a win in his last three races. Granted that win came in a small field of 4 in Hong Kong but it won't have done the 7 year old from the bot4rd stable any harm. On the verge of picking up their 50th win the yard will be hoping the veteran can come good over a type of ground he's unfamiliar with in general. Has earned £1,743 so far in his career and has the ability to add to this this evening.

We're on a roll!

Regular viewers of this blogsite will be singing all the way to the bank after another succesful night on the virtual ggs! MG ZR recorded a memorable victory in the 8:24 race last night to the delight of the Andy Hargie stables at nice odds of 15/2. This fine result was complimented by the excellent run of Diamonds 4 Ceri in the previous race as she finished in second at 13/1. Now can we keep the good run of fortune going, lets keep our collective fingers crossed!!!!!

Also well done to wigs7 and the Meat stables for recording 50 wins this season, good stuff gents!

Mister Satin - 8:24 - 42/1

Perhaps the recent run of good tipping or the sun or a combination of both is making me over cocky! but I'm backing 42/1 shot Mister Satin to nick a place in this Level weight race in Hong Kong this evening. Had a poor run last time out but if that blip can be overcome theres no reason why this 3 year old black colt can't do well. In 39 runs he's emerged victorious in 10 races ( 26% win to run ratio) and has finished in the places 19 times also. A solid performer he could well cause a shock by getting a place.

Jacuzzi - 9:36 - 13/2

Recent history in Dubai suggests this will be a struggle for Jacuzzi but I expect the 2 year old RedHalo racing trained fillie to put her poor form here behind her and continue on her recent good form. She comes into this Progress race on the back of a win four days ago in Canada all be it in a small field of four. Likes the fast and has earned £112 since being bought on the 17th of April. Shes no dawn run but could well be good enough to finish in the top three in the 9:36 race.

thunderbolter 2- 9:48 - 36/1

Another long shot here who has the ability to embarrass the bookies. A winner when last out on yielding on Monday he returns to this type of going again tonight hoping to make it four wins from 23 starts. Thunderbolter 2 was bought by the homertrix stable from Bigboysteve on the 7th of July and is enjoying life in his new yard already. Could raise a few eyebrows tonight by nailing a placed finish at the track down under.

Darth vader finally delivers at 23rd attempt!

It was bound to happen sooner or later. In the virtual heat of a virtual Hong Kong track the 9/2 Abaddon trained Darth vader finally recorded a victory after 22 failed attempts. I said it would happen and sure enough the confident 3 year old fillie delivered the goods. Elsewhere Napolean Dynamite tipped at a massive 22/1 to get a place did just that rounding off an excellent night for this particular tipster!!!

For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please clcik on read more....

diamonds 4 ceri - 8:12 - 13/1

After two poor performances its time for this 2 year old fillie to bounce back with a bang. Diamonds 4 Ceri has been a revelation for the tanky stable since he picked her up on the 5th of April recording 7 wins and 9 placed finishes in 22 outings. In her last race on muddy going she demolished a field of 9 in Dubai on the 4th of July and has a decent history on muddy going in general. Its been four days since she last raced so I expect her to do well this evening with a placed finish highly likely.

MG ZR - 8:24 - 15/2

When in form this 7 year old black colt is exceptionally difficult to beat. Using all his experience he's won twice and been placed twice in his last five races cementing his place as one of the greats. With career earnings of almost £4,000 its not suprising to discover he's won 48 of his 164 races and owners Andy Hargie stables will be hoping he goes one step closer to the big 50 tonight. Likes the muddy and if the jockey is riding well then he could just do it.

Gabbiadini - 9:36- 17/2

When working with Gabe Turner on the live televised show I remember he would go on and on about this ex footballer and we'd always keep an eye out for the progress of the horse with the same name. While the win to run ratio hasnt been the best Gabbiadini has good placing stats and tonight I reckon he could add to these again.Rested for the last week the 3 year old colt is in the middle of an inconsistent phase and needs to improve if he's going to be remembered as warmly as the player himslef. Decent each way potential.

Celtic FC has other owners jumping through hoops!!!

Roy Keane and John Hartson may be gone but all is well with Celtic F.C. The virtual racing owners have just passed the 50 winners mark having joined us on the 12th of July last year.Total prize winnings stand at £1,275 as the owners in the green, white and gold silks aim for the 100 winner mark. The most succesful horse in the stable in terms of career wins is Dallas Cowboys who was once sold for £535 from the Dallas1 stable to Lord Jinxy. With Celtic themselves
looking for back to back Championships in Scotland and success in Europe this must be one happy owner!!!!

For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please click on read more.....

Napolean Dynamite - 8:36 - 22/1

Its very hard not to back this 3 year old colt from the DVDMAN1 stable as he's never let me down before. At sensational odds this chestnut coloured fella has shown a high level of consistency lately and will be hoping to keep that good run going in Hong Kong this evening. With one win and three placed finishes in his last five races he could well suprise in a field that features the wonderful La Gazza Ladra. On the cusp of earning £1000 in prize winnings and may do over the coming week. Great chance of a place.

Squirrel Nutkin - 8:57 -42/1

Am I seeing things - Squirrel nutkin at these odds! my eyes must be playing tricks on me. In 106 strarts this fine 5 year old colt has notched up 20 wins and 36 placed finishes many of those in excellent races. Starting to find his form again for the Socrates yard he has an outside chance of snatching a place here this evening if things go his way.May be feeling the effects of yesterdays run in the UK but should still be strong enough to give the favourites a few heart palpatations!

darth vader - 9:36 - 9/2

Its amazing that this talented 3 year old colt has never won a race in 22 starts. While he's picked up 12 places and £72 in winnings he really has to break his duck soon before he's released out into space! The Abaddon stable who have had almost 1,300 winners dont suffer fools gladly and unless this boy starts to pull up his socks then he's out of the stable. Has fared well in allowance races in the recent past and on seems to favor the soft going so yielding shouldnt be a problem for him this evening in Hong Kong.

Natalma dancer waltzes her way to success!

Yes what a fantastic result by Natalma dancer on Saturday night. This may have been her first ever run on good going but the 17/2 shot was in deadly form to capture the 9:36 race in style. Hope you backed her as advised on the site!

For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please clcik on read more....

Good fellow - 8:12 - 25/1

Inconsistent but highly talented this 3 year old grey colt from the Meat stable is looking for win number 11 of a 56 race career tonight at very generous odds. With a good record on firm going the yard will be confident that he can deliver. Good fellows last win came on the 13th of July in Australia on good going. I think a win tonight is probably beyond him but a placed finish certainly isn't.

strawberry jam - 8:24 - 6/1

I'm sure the puns about sweet victories have been made before! In 40 runs this aceface trained girl has emerged victorious in 10 races and has been placed in 17. In a splendid run of form at the moment shes won four of her last seven races and could do very well indeed down under this evening. Won well on saturday in the UK and will be many punters favourite for the 8:24 Level weight race.

Latruno- 9:12 - 7/1

Often after doing well in a claiming race horses burst back to the competitive scene refreshed and refocussed. Latruno won in a claimer yesterday in Canada and will be out to prove a point to owners Shameful Bronze this evening. To be fair though the 2 year old fillie had run well in her two previous races finishing second in both. Likes the fast going and has a lethal finishing kick. Could well win in the 9:12 but perhaps its safer to go each way on her.

Cannydoit - 8:36 - 20/1

With two wins in his last three races this staedtler trained 3 year old colt has a wonderful ratio of wins and places to runs. With 17 wins and 24 placed finishes out of 69 runs he's a high quality horse. Likes the soft and yielding going and should run well this evening as he attempts to add to the £680 already earned in winnings.

Heliocentric - 8:48 - 10/1

Few horses are good enough to record a hatrick of back to back wins and tonight in the UK we'll find out if Heliocentric is one of those. Gifted but inconsistent the 3 year old fillie has broken into double figures in terms of wins recording her 10th success when last out on Wednesday. As well as her 10 wins she's also notched up 28 places from a total of 54 runs. Likely to be a bridge too far this evening I think a placed finish here is more likely.

Natalma Dancer - 9:36 - 17/2

With success in both the big and small fields recently this young girl is really enjoying her racing. Exceptionally versatile over all types of going shes only won once before (that being in her last race)but many top owners are tipping her for huge success. This will be Natalma Dancer's first run on good going in her career but if she can adapt as well as she has already then shes in good shape for an each way.

Fun and frolics on Getminted Friday!

Joke of the year!!!:

A linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day
"In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. However, in some languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. But there isn't a single language, not one, in which a double positive can express a negative."

A voice from the back of the room retorted, "Yeah, right."

Two of the best - females you wouldn't want to mess with!

The names in themselves strike fear into other owners - Lady Killer and Angel of death. The former owned by the terrific Ken Allan's stable made history this week by becoming the most succesful horse in raceclubs/getminted history. The 6 year old fillie notched up win number 112 in Canada on monday pushing her winnings up to £7,102. Not far behind in terms of victories is Angel of death - a 7 year old fillie belonging to the bluess7 stable. With 102 wins and 98 places in her career she's raked in £6,136 in prize money. Getminted salute you both on your fantastic achievements.

For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please clcik on read more.....

Hawaiian Sound - 8:24 - 9/2

Diablo racing must be scratching their heads. Its very rare that their star performer Hawaiian Sound enters a run of form as poor as shes experienced over the last two weeks. With 37 wins and 48 placed finishes from her 147 races shes proved time and time again what a top horse she is and its surely only a matter of time before shes back to winning ways. Carrying 140 lbs for most of her races recently she's suffered from a severe weight disadvantage. Tonight though in a level weight race in Canada better things are expected. Good each way potential.

Para Toda Vida - 8:57 - 24/1

I know 'Para Toda Vida' is an album by the New Amsterdams but I'm not sure exactly what it means, perhaps someone can enlighten me via the forums. On the back of a fine first win in the USA two days ago shes out again this evening on her preferred muddy going. Owned by the slowstables she represents excellent each way value and its likely she'll add to her £30 already secured in winnings.

Popcorn juice - 9:48 - 11/1

Since moving to the Punting Paul stable this 2 year old fillie has found her feet and is on the best run of her short career. In her last four races the black beauty has won once and been second in the other three. Still racing in the C division you feel its just a matter of time before she moves up a step in quality. However the competition tonight is stiff and Im backing her for a place though a win is possible.

Youngster delights tipster!

Behave yourself those with a dirty mind! The reference is in relation to the magnificent ' The Great 1' who won in fine style yester evening at decent odds of 9/2. As predicted she rubbished recent form by flying high on muddy going delivering to the loyal blogspot punters. Also King of Peru tipped at 10/1 finished in the places. Congratulations if you backed either of these top tips.

For all tonight's top getminted racing tips please clcik on read more.....

MG ZR - 8:36 - 20/1

At maximum weight this experienced old colt continues to impress. In a level weight race the optimum is expected if a tad unlikely. With three decent wins in his last five races confidence is high in the well accomplished Andy Hargie stables that this 7 year old can add to his healthy hoard of victories. In 162 stars this clever campaigner has notched up a massive 48 wins and 61 placed finishes. At 20/1 Australia could be a happy hunting ground for this wonderful veteran.

Onwards and upwards- 8:48 - 17/2

Always attractive odds on getminted. This four year old grey fillie from the ever improving muggins racing stable has been excellent in her stables silks winning in 9 and being placed in 25 of her races thus far. If the stats dont impress you then perhaps the financial winnings win - £565 since being bought on the 1st of October last year. Second last time out in a field of seven in Canada she's getting back to her best and must be considered in this very average field.

Fast walker - 9:24 -11/1

This is a tip formed not on the horse in question's quality but the other's lack of it. The 9:24 race from Australia offers little in the way of world beaters but odds are odds and betting is betting. As the best in a bad lot I predict that Fast walker will do just that perhaps even breaking into a trot to claim some sort of glory for the meat stable. Unimpessive in her 3 starts to date today could well be her day and I pancy her as an each way contender.

New stables embrace Getminted racing!

New owners are joining Getminted racing daily increasing the size and variety of the getminted racing community. Recently I spotted a post of the forums where some of the latest additions to the family were comparing stats, lets have a quick look at these newest stables.

MrMagoo stable - joined on the 21st of June - 11 runs, 3 wins, 3 placed finishes earnings: £35.57.

Well these stats speak for themselves. The MrMagoo stable is off to a flyer with Hieroglyphs looking like a shrewd buy. The 3 year old colt was picked up in a claimer on the 26th of June by Mrmagoo who paid just £15 to Ashlands stable for the black marauder. Other horses to watch out for in the stable are Major (UK) and Donut Rush me.The Mrmagoo stable run in red, yellow and black silks.

Logan stable - joined 22nd of June - 29 runs, 5 wins, 15 placed finishes - earnings: £92.11

He may only be with us two and a half weeks but already Logan is mounting up the winners. Its no wonder this latest owner has a bolt of lightening across the chest of his stable silks. Flying Saint bought from the Ken Allan stable has been a god send for Logan winning in 4 and being placed in 3 of his competitive races so far. Others to catch the eye include the wonderfully consistent Shallow Hal and the excellently named Stinky Bum!

Indie Boy - joined 10th of June - 18 runs, 2 wins, 2 placed finishes - earnings: £29.62

There was great excitement in this stable last Saturday when Two Dollers more recorded his first win for the Indie boy stable after being entered in a slew of claiming races. The recent acquisition of the well known Irish horse Pegasus will also improve confidence though he's yet to shine in his new yard. After a hefty purchase price alot rests on the shoulders of Pegasus but as he's consistently proved in the past he's usually up to any task.

Sompting Roses - 8:36 - 18/1

With over £3,500 in race winnings you can never write off this 5 year old fillie especially in a level weight race. The true value of Sompting Roses is refelcted in the money paid for her on two occasions. Dallas 1 paid £1,145 to the Lord Granger Racing stable for her back in January while just last month Derekw10 forked out £618 to bring her to his stable. In 172 races shes won in 45 and has been placed in 64. Recent form has been poor by her standards but she's been hampered by heavy weights and tonight in this level weight race should run well enough to take a place at these healthy odds.

King of Peru - 8:57 - 10/1

Just to confuse you totally the King of Peru was initially owned by the King of Norway! However on the 2nd of this month the 2 year old colt was bunged into the back of a horsebox, £20 exchanged hands, and he was whisked off to the Meat stable. Here he has been nurtured and encouraged to unprecedented heights and I'm sure Meat fancies him to run well in the USA this evening. In just 6 competitive starts the King of Peru has found victory once and has been placed in four others. This will be his first trip out on muddy but I still fancy him to do well. Excellent each way opportunity.

The Great1 - 9:24 - 9/2

Its important to note that despite poor recent form this 2 year old fillie always pulls out good displays on muddy going. In this average field the bookies feel so confident that she'll do well that they've installed her as second favourite. In 16 runs thus far on getminted racing The Great1 has won in 3 and been placed in 9 (though many of these were in smaller fields). Hardly a world beater but has a decent cahnce of doing well in this race.

A World Cup joke to brighten up your day!

Ronaldo, Luis Figo and Wayne Rooney are standing before God at the throne of Heaven. God looks at them and says; "before granting you a place at my side, I must first ask you what you believe in."

Addressing Ronaldo first he asks, "what do you believe?"

Ronaldo looks God in the eye and states passionately, "I believe Football to be the food of life. Nothing else brings such unbridled joy to so many people from the slums of Rio to the bright lights of Madrid. I have devoted my life to bring such joy to people who stood on the terraces supporting their club."

God looks up and offers Ronaldo the seat to his left.

He then turns to Luis Figo , "and you, Luis , what do you believe?"

Figo stands tall and proud at the end of his career and says, "I believe courage, honour and passion are the fundamentals to life and I've spent my whole playing career providing a living embodiment of these traits."

God, moved by the passion of the speech offers Figo the seat to his
right.

Finally, he turns to Wayne Rooney , "and you, Wayne , what do you
believe?"

"I believe" says Rooney "you're sitting in my seat."

Spitting image - 8:36 - 13/1

There's no impressionism here this colt is the real thing. Consistent and strong the 2 year old is in a rich vein of form and favours racing over the muddy terrain. With 5 wins and 15 placed finishes in 28 races he's delivered so far for the stable after being bought from the August stable at the end of April. The last win came in a level weight race on the 29th of July in Dubai. A repeat performance tonight could well yield another win but I'm backing him for a placed finish this evening.

Nobody wanted me - 8:48 - 14/1

Its almost impossible not to back Bigboysteve's 2 year old fillie for this race in Canada. With 4 wins out of 7 shes already stamped her mark on getminted racing and tonight aims to keep her good run going. With 3 wins in the last 5 races her pedigree continues to rise and odds of 14/1 seem over generous this evening. A winner last time out in the USA she showed she was well capable of moving up a gear when required and she could well place again tonight.

Boo Berry - 9:48 - 28/1

In a race of average quality the menace stable must fancy the chances of their 2 year old fillie here at these long odds. A winner last time out in Canada on fast two days ago confidence is high as that win was a long time coming. Total stats read 10 runs, 1 win and 7 placed finishes. While she normally plies her trade over fast and good going she aims tonight to continue the glory days on yielding and she may well do just that.

Italians to repeat 1982 triumph with timely World Cup victory!

It's been 24 years since that historic World Cup final in Spain when Paulo Rossi led Italy to World cup victory. The striker had been recently released from prison after a football corruption scandal. Now the Azzurri find themselves in a similar position and they fully realise what a win would mean to their country at this difficult time. Zidane may be bringing the curtain down on his glittering career in Berlin tomorrow night but my money is on Italy for World Cup victory.

Pure venom - 8:12 - 20/1

Very attractive odds here for a horse who has shown in the past that she can run well on fast going. Owned by the atkins race yard the 2 year old fillie has won in 8 of her 23 races and has been placed in a further 6 bringing winnings in her short career to £110. A recent recruit to this stable she was initially owned by the Berreta stable and then the goodtobetheking stable but is now setling in with atkins. Will welcome a return to fast going and is good each way value.

diamonds for Ceri - 8:36 - 24/1

Our old friend Tanky knows exactly what this 2 year old fillie can do. In her 18 tests so far she's excelled winning in 6 and finishing in the places in 8. Her recent form has seen her winning twice and placing three times in her last five races. With varied success over firm in the past 'diamonds for Ceri' will have to call on all her experience in Australia tonight to win but if shes anything like the Welsh bombshell shes named after then I'm sure she'll blow this field away!!!!

Macau Express - 9:36 - 28/1

What a record this shotgun mike trained fillie brings into this race. In just 11 competitive outings shes won 4 times and been placed in 6. Now closer inspection does show some of the fields she shone in were less than fantastic but still she seems to have a bright future ahead of her on getminted racing. A winner last time out on yielding in Hong Kong over 5 furlongs she finished a full two lengths ahead of the second placed horse in a small field of 3. Macau Express needs to find the form of last May when she really did seem like a world beater. Tonight in this poor field her ability should shine again and shes a good each way bet at these lengthy odds.

Mr. Gump stable on verge of 100 winners!

In just six short months the Mr. Gump stable has notched up 90 wins and at this rate will have hit the magic 100 by the end of July. Current winnings stand at £2,690, thats an average of almost £450 a month, not bad for what is considered a new stable! In the red, yellow and blue colours of the stable stars such as Unbelieveable and Miss Calculation have had sensational runs and shrewd punters are advised to keep an eye out for others including Little Starchy and Geoginas gem as Mr. Gump aims to enter the 100 winners club!

Steroid Queen - 8:57 - 13/1

I wonder if the Red Rope Race yard called this horse after former American athlete Marion Jones!!! In a fine run of form this 6 year old grey fillie enters this race on the back of a fine win in Hong Kong on the first of this month. In a small field of 4 Steroid Queen fought against heavy weight to register a fine win. It was the 8th of a 49 race career and with 19 placed finishes to her name as well its no suprise that shes racked up earnings of £889 already. Tonight in race number 50 she has a great chance of victory but it's probably safer to back her for a place.

Zealous Junior - 9:36 - 32/1

It won't be easy this evening for Zealous Juniour but having broken his duck in terms of victories anything is possible if he runs to his full potential. That historic and much needed win came on the 1st of July when the brokerman stable's 2 year old won in an allowance race in the USA. However the owners entered him in a claimer two days ago and may be looking to sell him for a decent price given that his stock value has increased. In 18 runs he's also found 6 places and at a push he could well increase that figure at long odds.

Rhiconich - 9:55 - 9/2

I believe Rhiconich is a place in Scotand but I could be wrong! If so the 3 year old colt hasn't exactly shown the fighting traits of William Wallace as yet but after his last race theres renewed hope for him. In a field of 13 on fast going in Canada on the 28th of June he finished second just missing out on what would have been his 5th career win in competitive races. It was a brave confident performance when you consider he was entered in a claimer 3 days previous. A decent if not great horse he could well go one better tonight and claim the victory for the excellent DJMally stable.

Auto Tracking - 8:36 - 16/1

Theres certainly a shortage of quality in this line up of 2 year old colts and fillies in the UK. Still one owner in particular will have his eyes pealed as his charge attempts to get his first win in 27 attempts. Longy still has faith in his chestnut coloured struggler and at 16/1 may feel tonight is the night that Auto Tracking speeds to victory. With 11 placed finishes under his belt it seems its only a matter of time before he gets off the mark though his recent form is patchy. He came agonisingly close to victory on the 26th of June in the USA but came up short by three quarters of a length to 'Up above it'. If he puts his head down and runs well tonight he may be rewarded for his hard work but a placed finish seems most likley.

Super Scholes - 8:57 - 16/1
How England could have done with super scholes during this year's World Cup! This wigs7 charge has shown enough in his short career to suggest he could do well here tonight and odds of 16/1 seem generous. In 9 competitive starts he's claimed victory once and finished in the places on three occasions also. That win came back on the 17th of June when the 2 year old colt battled in a field of 14 to romp home on muddy. He did well also in his next race two days later finishing third on firm in the UK. A solid each way chance here for the wigs 7 stable to add to the his impressive haul of winnings.

Spirit of Leeds - 9:24 - 50/1

If this one comes off I'll get the freedom of the city in wonderful Leeds! At 50/1 you cant write off this boys chances of pulling off a major suprise. He eneters this race on the back of a confidence inspiring win in his last outing on the 3rd of July. That win in Hong Kong brought his career winnings to date to £42, not back considering he's only been with getminted for a month. It's likely Spirit of Leeds will use that victory as a springboard to future success and I fancy him for a placed finish this evening.

Next best thing - 8:12 - 36/1

The Mickjam stable seem to be intent on selling this 4 year old colt and when you look at his record you can see why he won't leave the yard unless big money is offered. In 57 competitive races Next best thing has crossed the winning line first on 10 occassions and has been placed in 22. His record on good going (which he will run on this evening) is fair but at these long odds he's worth an each way shot in this race in the United Kingdom.

String me along - 9:24 - 20/1

The owners Meat gave this 2 year old fillie an end of June break after she burst onto the juvenille scene with a bang. Two wins and four placed finishes in seven starts outlined this grey girl's potential and she may go close in this sprint this evening. It's been a while since her last win though, that was on soft going in Hong Kong on the 25th of May. She has never run on good going before so it's a bit of a discovery mission for the Meat stable. Hope he finds the win he's looking for though a place is far more likely.

Exodus - 9:48 - 40/1

In this amazing sequence of odds Exodus enters the odds at 40/1, fifth favourite! It goes from 5/1 for The Great 1 to these huge odds for Foxy911's 2 year old black fillie. And I tell you something she's not half bad. In 15 starts (mostly at the C division grade) shes won in 4 and been placed in 7. Indeed she comes into this race on the back of a win in the UK five days ago. Normally runs on the fast and good going but has had victory on muddy in the past. I don't expect her to win but I wouldnt say no to a placed finish!

New look website!

Well well well, here it is, the new look Getminted racing website! I must say it looks more uplifting, those forty shades of green were starting to get on my nerves! By the way can someone please give the King of Norway stable the blogsite address, think he's lost it! Best of luck on the track folks.

Alan Shearer 206 - 8:12 - 8/1

Why anyone would name a horse after Alan Shearer is beyond me! Is the tactic to bore the other horses to death!!! This 2 year old colt from the atkins stable is in a good run of form at present and enters this race in good shape. In 10 outings he's still looking for his first career win but he does have 7 placed finishes under his belt. Just missed out on a fine win last time out three days ago when he was pipped on the line by rivalry. At these odds he represents excellent each way value.

Maximum Heat - 8:36 - 7/1

What an apt name for a horse at this time of year! This will be the biggest challenge the boyle1972 trained fillie will have faced in her career but in her three races to date shes handled herself excellently. With one win and two placed finishes from her three starts she's sure to add to the £11,000 already earned by this excellent yard. Could get up there to nick win number 2 but I'd think a placing is more likely.

With hindsight - 9:24 - 18/1

Perhaps this 2 year old fillie has turned a corner. After a poor opening spell she pulled herself together to register two second placed finihses in her last two races on getminted. Has had a week long rest since her last outing when she finished just half a length behind Pipedreamer in the UK.Seems to like good going and in a field of this average quality she may be worth a small flutter at 18/1. Owners Foxy 911 will be celebrate their one year anniversary with Getminted in two weeks time and how they'd love to pass the 200 winners mark by then.

The end is nigh for Sven as England eye up semi-final place!

It must be good being an England supporter today. Win and your side makes it through to the World Cup semi-final, lose and you get rid of one of the worst managers the country has ever had at the helm. For what its worth I predict a Portugese win on a scoreline of 2-1! Bet I'd be very popular down my west London local with that prediction!

Anyway for all tonight's top Getminted racing tips please clcik on read more....

Crash bandit - 8:12 - 11/1

Wow what a fine field! Many of these 3 year old colts are coming into this race on the back of lethal form. Bondage babe's Crash bandit is one of those with a host of fine placed finishes and wins under his belt recently. Total stats read 71 runs, 14 wins and 21 placed finishes making up a handsome prize winning package of almost £300 for Dawn. Hasn't been out on fast in the past few weeks but should run well in Dubai though the race is over a longer distance than he is normally used to.

To much to young - 8:24 - 15/1

Will it be to much to soon for this heinz trained colt as he won on muddy in Dubai just two days ago. I actually think not, this is an excellent horse who can beat any other virtual competitor on his day. Vastly experienced he's won in 20% of his races, thats 18 times out of 88 as well as picking up 27 placed finishes. A strong contender his recent form has picked up and I think he's good value for an each way.

Cured the blues - 9:24 - 11/1

Well we saw recently how a good run in claimers can be reflected in competitive races and I feel this DVDman1 trained 2 year old colt could get something out of this race this evening. A winner on muddy back on the 25th of may in the USA this is undoubtedly his favoured going and in a less than formiddable field I fancy his chances of finishing in the top three.
